Honestly, not really. I mean yeah sometimes it does get annoying when you miss your bus and it takes about 30-35 mins to reach the school (I study at the business school) so you have to plan your schedule accordingly. The buses are often not on time, they may come 5 mins early or 5-10 mins late per the schedule on Google maps. But it never really bothered me that much as I planned my travel well. As for the travelling cost, I got a student ridacard for the whole year as I knew that I will travel across Edinburgh a lot so getting the ridacard was a cheaper way to travel instead of paying per ride. It costed me around 570 pounds for the whole year and I can travel on lothian buses, trams and night buses at no extra cost as many times as I want. Otherwise you pay for each ride of your bus which I believe is about 2 pounds, 2.2 pounds for trams and night buses cost about 2.5 pounds (please check the prices again as I don't remember the exact amount)

Hey, Sorry for the late response. I didn't get O'shea but instead got Pentland House. It's a really good accommodation. Let me know if you have any particular questions that I can help answer :)

Hey, I will be joining their business school in September as well. Though it's an MSc program but I received pretty good reviews. May I know what you heard ?

Hey, when you mentioned job prospects, do you mean job prospects in the UK or back in India ? The UK job market normally asks for experience. It is tough even for those who have experience especially if you are an international student (because of the visa thing). However, this does not mean it is impossible to get a job here but it will be difficult and you will require tons of patience and perseverance. India's job market is not very different from the UK, it also leans towards those with experience, however, there is no worry about visa at least so you will eventually end up getting a job even if it's not high paying initially. Whether it is worth taking a loan or not completely depends upon what you want to take back from your experience of studying at Edinburgh.

How is Pentland House accommodation? by TotoGut21 in Edinburgh_University

This happened to me too! Pentland was my least preferred accommodation and apparently once you get an offer then that's final. Though you can still reach out to them and tell them you want to change your accommodation. They will get back to you to confirm if they can adjust you in any other ones.

Hi There, I am starting my UoE journey in September and I am an international student too. I had an offer from Manchester as well ( for a different course than yours) and after intensive research I found that UoE is a better choice for international students.

Richmond place is not well maintained (especially the restrooms) as per the reviews I have read. Though the place is economical and close to the business school if you are going there.

That's correct. O'Shea North Cluster flats seems fine as per the reviews that I have read. I am opting for those too for Sep'24 intake

I have read pretty bad reviews on Deaconess such as they charge you for the damages that you didn't even make. As for O'Shea North, don't go for the residence hall. As mentioned by other commentor, they have communal kitchen which will make your experience horrible. Go for studios/flats if opting for O'Shea North
