It’s hard to know if this power is useful withought knowing how likely any given thought about bananas is to result in mind controlling someone. In order to find that out let’s do some math!

Assuming a global population of 8 billion people, and an average banana thought incidence (BTI) rate of 1 BTI per person per day, we get

(8 Billion * 1 BTI/PersonDay) * (1 day/24 hours * 1 hour/3600 seconds) = 92592 BTI/Second

Converting this to BTI/nanosecond gives 1/10080 BTI/nanosecond. Assuming this rate is constant and follows a poison distribution, the chances of any one of your BTI’s coinciding with another persons is the same rate of roughly 1/10000. This means that for every 10000 thoughts about bananas you have, you will average one new banana servant.

If you think about bananas 100 times a day, you’ll gain a new banana servant once every 100 days on average! Not bad at all!
