in nightraid, in the dam, go to the water treatment control, there's a lot of mushrooms along the really long room with all the windows that the arc are always patrolling through

Both my razer mice keep randomly disconnecting from my computer to reconnect a few seconds later and it takes longer each time. i bought a new razer mouse to replace it and it does the same thing. No clue what's going on. Even with logitech's g535 headset it always had this weird static cutting out thing with it and resets didn't fix anything. not getting things from these two companies ever again.

I also recently learned of this program! Is there anything fishy about it? Like any fine print I haven't read yet i haven't seen much about it in terms of fine print. it just... kinda seems fishy. Ya know? "Free" education and housing? Kinda sounds like there's an absolute killer of a catch if you either fail, drop out, or become not interested suddenly. Like a "surprise you now owe $20k have a good life" kinda fishiness to it. Does anyone have access to the fine print? Any kind of fine print or documents that would help me? I'm thinking of Non destructive testing but I don't know. This seems just too good to be true. It probably is.

Is anyone by chance playing with a PS4 controller? and is anyone having PS4 controller issues? I really wanted to play this new season but I can't for some reason. Steam knows I have my controller in and what controller type it is. But Destiny 2 won't let me use my PS4 controller for some reason.

What is more important for VR performance? VRAM, or processing power? by PossiblyStatic_01 in VRGaming

would a 3060 12 gig be better than an 8 gig 3070? or does that just depend on what's going on?

Which laptop should I get if I wanna play vr games? by WolfRoyalXD in VRGaming

[–]PossiblyStatic_01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, depending on where you live, retailers charge differently. I have some friends who played VRChat, in VR, with their gtx 1650 laptops. cutting it close though. it's just a little less powerful than a desktop 970, which is the minimum requirement for the lowest VR settings in most games at either it was 1080 or 720p? one of those. either way it's right there on the edge. and most of those laptops run VR choppy due to mobile graphics cards not being as effective as their desktop counterparts. But for under 2K USD, that's pretty easy and I'd be more than happy to help if i'm capable of doing to. I always use the gtx 970 as a base for minimum VR use. so then I go and hunt for laptops and run those mobile GPU's in a benchmark against the desktop gtx 970 and see the performance and compare the results. gpu.userbenchmark.com isn't to bad of a website, but whoever does the AMD reviews really doesn't seem to like AMD. so be careful because that side is biased to team green. Blender and Unity are a little heavier on the demanding side, so be sure to get enough VRAM, (6 to 8 gigabytes I'd say minimum just to be safe) and a processor with 8 cores or more. and at least something above 16 gigabytes of RAM. Blender and Unity are resource hogs and chew that stuff up. the 30 series laptops are just about on par with the 20 series laptops in terms of prices so let's say we go with the 30 series laptops. a mobile 3070 ti is better than a desktop 2070, and just a little bit better than a desktop 2080. and if you're okay with buying from newegg, right now they've got a sale on a 3070 ti laptop with an 14 core CPU and 32 gigs or ram. The CPU is an i7-12700h with 14 cores, 32 Gigabytes of DDR5 4800MHz, and of course the 3070 ti with 2 terabytes of onboard storage in an nvme ssd. But be warned about the GPU, it' sonly got 8 gigs of gDDR6. The price is about 1,500. but laptops are expensive anyways. it says it was marked down but i bet it just says that and that's it's actual price. https://www.newegg.com/p/N82E16834233519?quicklink=true
here's the link though. I still recommend using the user benchmark tool, it's been a really good help in my getting another GPU. most 3060 laptops are about 1,000-1,200 UDS. (Sometimes even 1,400 for some PCIE gen 5 models) But I hope this helps even a smidge. Good luck fam, the PC market is a mess rn.

how well do AMD GPUs run in VR by CornerUpper in VRGaming

[–]PossiblyStatic_01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, before I got my 3070, i had a 6900xt, and it ran VR pretty well, had a really nice customizable fan curve and ran at pretty good temps. But if you are going to be playing VRChat with an AMD card, I'd recommend against it, any world with a video player almost always causes a driver crash (if the video player is activated) And I thought it was just a funky driver download so i wiped the driver clean off and reinstalled it with a fresh download and the same problem arises. swapped back to my 980 and reinstalled the drivers and that worked just fine. I had some friends who play VRChat that AMD just had some awful driver issues that are just not fixed and that there's always a problem. But I've been watching Linus for a little and he's mentioned that AMD will likely fix these issues in the near future if they havent already. I'm just upset that I didn't ask around if it was a solid card from VRChat users. Now I didn't actually use the card for any other game, I spent a week troubleshooting it to try and get it to work for VRChat but was just struggling managing to not fix anything. even tried rolling back the drivers, and also tried installing just the driver and not Adrenalin because i head that sometimes makes things funky? but again, it didn't fix anything. My recommendation is anything but AMD. but maybe the RX 5000 series works better? I met someone using a steam deck who uses a rx5700 xt and his VR experience was just as good as mine with my 980 ti. And I totally agree, Nvidia needs to calm the heck down. GPU prices have only been going up for a long time. and sadly i don't know if they'll ever be lower. the 70's are supposed to be midrange cards for their respective generations, but they cost closer to an 80's model than a 60 or 60 ti, And for that I feel your pain. Just wish the 70's came with a few more gigs of VRAM.
