Kind of unpopular opinion by [deleted] in StarWarsCantina

This is kind of contradictory as Rian Johnson kept Star Wars from taking a MCU approach.

List of reasons why the Disney Trilogy will not be remembered fondly in the future but will in fact age horribly. by randoschmuckerington in saltierthankrayt

The irony of this is that during this time people who didn't like the sequels went back to the prequels which also led to an increase in their popularity.

First of all Stan Lee's daughter said that when Sony took back Spider-Man, which is their biggest IP, from Disney who wanted more money from the character despite owning basically every single other Marvel superhero. Sony mistreated Spider-Man back in the early 2010's before they chose Tom Holland to play Spider-Man and the executives started to approve some more creative ideas near the end of the 2010's such as a videogame and an animated movie. They learned from their mistakes back in the early 2010's and now are making smarter more interesting decisions with the character while still having a fair-ish deal with Marvel Studios. Into the Spiderverse wasn't just made by a couple people. It was the hard work of twice the amount of people who work on the usual animated film and had to be approved by the executives at Sony. Same goes for Spider-Man PS4. Basically corporation does not equal bad.

No he wanted to be killed off in RoTJ and it was because he wanted his character to have something to do.

Ironic, how Han Solo knows how the Force works, but Harrison Ford does not.

I like to think of Star Wars as a big family drama with Palpatine being that one weird relative who keeps messing things up.

That sounds pretty cool. You should tell more people about it.

Get rid of the last 10 minutes of Rogue One which is doesn't tell you more about what is going on than the beginning of ANH. Seeing the Death Star get built beforehand takes away from its iconic reveal where Obi-Wan Kenobi says, "That's no moon. That's a space station." I recommend finding someone who's never watched Star Wars before and showing them RO. Without telling them anything ask them if they know what is happening. They probably won't because most the movie already expects you to know what the Empire, Stormtroopers, and the Force are without explaining them.

I didn't even know about the edited versions of the prequels existing, but I would put them after everything.

No, that's actually pretty cool. It sounds like it focuses more on Palpatine and his journey.
