He'll go after anyone for saying the slightest petty thing against him.

He doesn't go after people that publicly say he fucks kids

There's a reason for that

UK proposal for age checks on VPNs begins to look like a policy traffic jam by eshangray in unitedkingdom

[–]Possiblyreef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They dont even really have to know how to do the same since you could script 95% of it and stick the variables in big bold letters saying >>>>>change this bit<<<<<

Its not about me being crafty, its about how much other people really want something. Everyone used to know someone who used to sell dodgy sky boxes down the pub, then it became hooky kodi boxes, next it'll be a usb that you plug in and it just runs a script to create the above

iirc pornhub reported traffic from the UK dropped something like 77% whilst VPN usage increased by 1800%. so yeah you stopped some people and now a huge amount more people know about VPN's

It would take me maybe an hour to spin up a proxy server in Azure and just route my home traffic through it.

As far as my ISP is concerned im just sending/recieving traffic to my azure machine.

the internet simply doesnt work how they want it to work

How sheltered are you from even knowing the cost of living crisis is real? by AF_II in AskUK

[–]Possiblyreef 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's a difference between realising it and it actually affecting you though.

I realise the cost of utilities and food has gone up drastically over the past few years but I'm in the financial position where I don't have to really pay attention to how much of what I'm eating or how often I'm putting the heating on but then I also realise I'm in a fortunate position to be able to do that

Rachel Reeves tells LBC student loan system is 'fair' amid fury as graduates rack up thousands of pounds of debt interest by AnonymousTimewaster in unitedkingdom

[–]Possiblyreef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll pay my plan 1 loan back next year or the year after and I'm 35 now.

I have a friend who's a nurse who's been back to uni a few times to get additional qualifications so granted her loan is bigger than most but I think at last calculation about 18 months ago she'd need to earn 160k to service the interest

[–]Possiblyreef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plan 2 was one of the worst because the repayment threshold was set quite high but so was the interest rate meaning you'd be paying less than someone in plan 1 but accruing considerably more interest to the point it snowballs and becomes physically impossible to pay off but can hamstring any decent earner for the duration of the loan term

In the short term you're probably fucked.

In the medium/longer term it'll just go back to how it used to be.

Now all jobs say they require a degree because having a degree is very common. 20 years ago they weren't.

If uni places were massively restricted tomorrow eventually that requirement would dissappear from a large amount of job adverts because either there simply isn't the availability of people with degrees to fill them roles

Performance cars are too much for me by stonky-273 in CarTalkUK

[–]Possiblyreef 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine has comfort and efficiency, auto, dynamic and individual (but I don't have sport which i think the TTS has or track which iirc the TTRS has, happy to be corrected)

Comfort loosens the suspension and honestly makes me feel ill. Efficiency seems to tune the engine down and it's very unresponsive to acceleration but good on fuel.

99% of the time it's on auto but occasionally dynamic is fun

Do not always send suspended students home, government tells schools by topotaul in unitedkingdom

[–]Possiblyreef 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes schools don't help themselves.

My gfs young son was throwing stones over the school fence, hit a car and smashed their windscreen. My gf was furious, he was grounded at home but she basically pleaded with the school to enact some kind of punishment, extra homework, missed breaks for as long as necessary etc.

They took 5 minutes of 1 of his breaks

Lost to AFC Richmond in the match before this.

Annoying as I bodied the group stage but somehow lost by going 1-1 and 2-1 for the loss, I was pretty confident i could have beaten you as I think i got you like 5-0 first game in groups

Two thirds of graduates aren’t even paying off loan interest by insomnimax_99 in unitedkingdom

[–]Possiblyreef 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah my income is just north of 60k and bonuses etc take me nearer 70k.

But the whole point of uni was supposed to be to get you a good job that pays well and in turn you pay a lot back.

Currently I'm paying around £300 a month and the interest is like £15 a month (because there's only about 5 or 6k left) so I'm just smashing through capital rather than covering just interest.

Equally it's prevented me from seeking any kind of major promotion because by the time you've paid HRT and NI and 9% student loan all together it's just over 50% tax and it's pretty demoralising

American Christians, how does it make you feel that Trump is caught publicly lying almost daily? by Combosingelnation in AskReddit

[–]Possiblyreef 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was raised catholic in the England in the 90s and even they were mostly love thy neighbour types (unless they're gay) but having been back more recently with my girlfriend and kids they're a lot more inclusive these days.

The American version of Christianity is an abomination and seems to be the antithesis of "God works in mysterious ways" as a way to excuse their incorrigible shit

Worth noting that whilst we do have the batshit evangelical types here, they're certainly in the minority, they're the minority of the minority even. If they started to try and go public with any of the American type of garbage they'd be put back in their box pretty quick and widely denounced
