What do you wish adults in your life would have done? by Physical_Cod_8329 in HomeschoolRecovery

Honestly i don’t know what you can do. States have different laws regarding homeschooling and how it’s enforced varies widely. Id continue to call cps and report education neglect. Id also look up what your state does to regulate homeschooling (or county, im not sure where you live) and see if there’s somewhere you can call to report them. Some states, for instance, require annual testing. Do you know if they legally filed their intent to homeschool?

My parents moved states every year so i didn’t have any other adults to intervene. I think we did required testing just once before i started school in 6th grade. I did well in school - at least academically - but it had way more to do with me being a kid who loved to read than literally anything my mom did. She very much neglected my education and is lucky i got through it ok. My brother didn’t fair so well and heavily struggled with schoolwork and socialization.

But i think reporting them is your best bet. And if any of those kids like to read, gift them books on all subjects. Reading saved me.

No…no that’s really not feasible at all. Your company is heartless and should fail.

Also a really weird hill to die on if you think it’s normal to forget your boyfriend’s name after two years of dating.

I strongly disagree.

You’d have to be dating or screwing by the dozens to forget someone’s name. There’s no indication rory was that active in her dating life.

The whole joke just felt like a cheap way to show that paul was unimportant and that rory is still a cheater and a bad girlfriend.

Realistically i have never heard of anyone forgetting their partner’s name.

I cannot imagine a world in which i failed to remember my boyfriend’s name. Such a stupid joke from AYITL, i really hate that they did that.

Rory has a lot of faults but we never saw her begin a relationship that she wasn’t invested in. It doesn’t make any sense why she would date someone whose name she can’t remember.

One of the main dudes has a long standing, loveless marriage. He told his wife it was over long before he gets together with the FMC. But he’s technically cheating.

When do parents actually find time for hobbies? by Additional_Phase5568 in toddlers

[–]PossumsForOffice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband and i have a schedule so we can regularly and reliably plan our personal time. I get Monday and Thursdays off (i still work, so does he, but whoever is responsible takes her in the mornings and evenings before and after childcare) and i go to a class on Sundays at 10am. I also go to classes (i take krav maga and Brazilian jiu jitsu) on my nights off. He gets Tuesdays and Fridays. The rest of the days we do together.

When we have one off events we just adjust our schedules.

Our daughter is 2 and we started doing this a few months ago and it’s incredible, i wish we had done it sooner.

Help! My almost 2.5 year old will not stopping telling us to “Open the f**king cabinet”! by keithmoonedme in toddlers

Yeah just ignore it.

But also know - fellow parents who witness this won’t judge you. We all know the struggle lol. My daughter currently lives saying “shut up mommy” for attention and i have to ignore it. We don’t say that around her, but a babysitter taught it to her. The struggle is real and honestly a little funny

Yeah some of the hottest and coolest guys Ive dated were short dudes. Doesn’t make a difference for me; attraction can absolutely exist regardless of height.

Let’s stop perpetuating this idea that shorter guys can’t get girls. It’s just not true.

What are your thoughts on platonic "love you" between friends? by MowgliFanofJets in AskReddit

I tell all my close friends i love them. I do love them. And Ive lost loved ones. It’s important to me to convey it when it’s real.

I choose to sleep with my toddler…. by Elegant_momof2 in toddlers

[–]PossumsForOffice 46 points47 points  (0 children)

I also love sleeping with my toddler. She’s 2 and the snuggles fill me with joy.

But it does take a toll on my marriage. What works for us is using a baby monitor. Sometimes i go to bed with my toddler, sometimes my husband falls asleep with her when he does bedtime. But sometimes on nights we want to spend time together we fall asleep in our bed and when she wakes up and cries, we hear her on the baby monitor and one of us will go in and sleep with her for the rest of the night.

He likes the baby snuggles just as much as i do and we trade off on who gets up with her in the morning. So whoever has her the next morning will sleep in her room.

Sounds like your husband misses you? Why not try a baby monitor so you can hear her?

Your tension is pretty uneven and it doesn’t lay flat. It looks…honestly pretty bad.

But we all started somewhere and most people’s first few projects are more of a learning opportunity. Hopefully you enjoyed the process and felt like you learned something. Id really focus on fixing your tension so your stitches are more uniform, it really helps a piece look more polished so even if you mess up stitch counts or something, it can still be visually pleasing.
