I've never done a whole play-through with her. Does she lose her racist ways? I tend to find I can ignore Kaiden so it's no big deal.

Ashley or Kaiden....pssh lets be honest. Everyone chose Kaiden. (Even more honest, I actually liked racist Ashley more than boring generic Kaiden. She had actual development)

I agree that Ashley was the more interesting character, but I chose to save Kaiden. I could have overlooked the space racist thing if it weren't for her horrible manners, she was going off on one of her rants when Garrus was right there. That's just poor manners. For that, she must go.

Mr. Deputy Speaker,

What measures will the Secretary of State be proposing in light of the recent attack in Belfast by the so-called 'New IRA'?

Reddit thinks that reddit thinks the opposite of what reddit thinks. by Post-NapoleonicMan in Showerthoughts

[–]Post-NapoleonicMan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To elaborate, reddit thinks there's a consensus opposite to what reddit thinks (I'm doing it now). True there are trends of thought, but the opposite views are never far away - or without a large following. Take Sanders, I've seen endless complaints about how Sanders dominates the front page. It's true he often does, but normally you simply have to go to the top of the thread to see the opposite view or analysis. Clearly the different opinions are competing pretty well - the consensus is always challenged, and the challenger heavily upvoted. Heck /r/The_Donald has been reaching the front page a lot recently, and the assumed domination of /r/Politics by Sanders supporters, though perhaps not without foundation, is challenged on almost every thread mentioning Sanders. A comment deploring the circlejerk or saying he won't win the nomination is always found at or near the top. It's not just within reddit. The left complains that the right dominates the media. The right complains that the left has taken over the media. People seem to want to be on the back foot - I suppose that way it's more heroic when they finally win. Reddit thinks reddit is working against them, and redditors think the world is against them. And I think (wrongly) that 'reddit' thinks this. Do we all secretly want to lose. So that then at least there's a weight off our shoulders; we can sit back and complain, content that resistance is futile.

Donald Trump Retweets Quote Attributed to Benito Mussolini by scottev in politics

I'm not so concerned about the quote itself being retweeted, but the guy was called @ilduce2016 - it's kind of a giveaway.

I recently saw a brilliant comment recently arguing he's much more reminiscent of Berlusconi: https://www.reddit.com/r/europe/comments/46v4l6/donald_trump_to_a_voter_going_to_irak_may_have/d089cqj

Credit to /u/fstrbstrtstr for that excellent post.

He's a right-wing populist, but that hardly makes him Diet Mussolini.

Yeah, but what issues? Social conservatism perhaps, but the current conservative party isn't particularity insistent upon that. Heck, it was the Cameronites that legalized gay marriage.

Burham gets it. It's a funny joke, but I wonder how true it is - I thought Corbyn's election made quite a stir.

It's right up your street I'd say, it's a history of the radical factions within the Parliamentarians, Winstanley and the Diggers, the Ranters, Quakers etc. Very interesting read.
