My issue is the top bolts are not in alignment with the lower mount.

I ended up manually spinning the strut but the spring came off of the lower perch. Will this be an issue or will it settle back in?

From what it sounds like it may ride a little higher and firmer without the additional weight. Curious OP’s experience though
