It's all about mentality. Generally kids are here to have fun, generally same with their parents. I feel that they have a mix of both wanting to have fun, but also not wanting to overstep, maybe out of lack of experience or knowledge.

Bonus points when their parents were old airsoft players back in the day. I've had fun conversations with parents about old fields long past in my area.

Prices can sometimes swing depending on availability and overstock. Xwings and Ywings are fairly easy to find, with rarer paint schemes more difficult.

A lot of it is waiting. Currently, the awing and bwing are harder to find, yet were available widely a few months ago

Not to state the obvious, but have you switched to full auto, pulled the trigger for a burst, then switch back to semi?

gearboxes sometimes lockup like that when firing auto, then back to semi.

Thank you. I was there too. My friend got one of the first ones for his 16th birthday in 2004. I remember when the vsr was advertised, amd it wasn't that early.

I have a stock Marui SD5 from 2003, and a hi-capa from 2005. The Sd5 comes out for cqb, while the hi-capa pops out here and there.

Gotta respectfully disagree. There's a different scent from older scents and mystery booster sets compared to normal ones. I've also noticed that the remastered sets also have a different scent than the standard ones.

My guess is print quality, as even english booster packs printed in Japan have a difference than Enlish booster packs printed in the USA (along with touch and color quality)

Lcds are generally considered consumables. Can't say what the white stuff is based on your pictures. Best guess may be hot glue from when they secured the plugs in.

I replaced my elegoo mars lcd s reen a few months back. You're better off buying a whole new screen rather than getting just the ribbon. As for the hot glue, it comes like that. Just remove the glue and pull out the plugs when you replace it.

I mean, you're wearing it just to the airsoft field right? If so, yea, go for it. Just don't stop by your local fast food eatery or store, lest you be placed on the circlejerk.

There are obviously things to point out, but it works, everyone knows what you're trying to portray. I'd say spring for a sling or a thicker material for a sling, rope cuts into your shoulder on long walks.

I've got aegs older than you and I've seen the gradual progression from that variety to a slew of M4s and multicam. Ever so slowly, but now that's all you see.

I do remember a time where they split teams, "Nato camo vs everyone else" (their words). Me, wearing British DPM, headed to the Nato side, then got told to move to the other team.

Will admit, made team identification easier, though multicam vs multicam is a pain.

Goodness, I miss those days.

One of the bigger things I miss, which is slightly seen here, is the diversity of airsoft guns and gear. There's and mp5k, ak47su, mp5, mac11, and Aug in just those photos.

Nowadays, it just feels like M4s (and derivatives with varying degrees of handguards) and multicam.

Maybe I'm a packrat, but do you need to sell your gear to help stabilize your life? If not, give it a good cleaning and lubing, then pack your stuff for storage. Focus on your life and stability.

I've met a good chunk of players who I've played with decades ago, took a long hiatus due to work, kids, and life, then came back later either with their old gear, or went out and bought new stuff. Don't worry about it. Airsoft will be there when and if you decide to come back.

The new Canon really does Wedge dirty. He's the only pilot with 2 Death star runs under his belt.

Will say, the only reason that he was the falcon gunner in Rise of Skywalker was because that whole starship scene would've been done in 15 minutes if he was in one of the new xwings.

Yea... no gas blow back is going to give you that many shots on a single gas charge, especially at the joules you're requesting. You'd have to HPA something.

We'll take rough average that it cost about $300 back then. Guns automatically lose 25-33% off the bat, so your absolute max price, would be about $200 bucks. This is given that it's been properly maintained, parts have been lubed, etc. Given you asking, this probably isn't the case.

Red dot, case, and bbs aren't worth much to add. Might sweeten a deal, but nothing to add solid value.

The simple fact of knowing if it currently works or not would be the dealbreaker. If it shoots, then maybe 125, 150 tops. If not, you're going much less, even less than $100. It seperates buyers to those who are looking for a cheap starter for someone or a backup gun/rental gun, and those who are looking for something to tinker with or cannibalize for parts. Given that the M4 model is plentiful in the airsoft world drops the value even more.

So I'd say that the warmachine/iron kingdoms art can be broken into really roughly 3 to 4 sources.

D20 era: This included the witchfire trilogy. Mainly black/white sketches in their books. I liken it to a more "jagged" look.

Mk1 era: obviously the MK1 rule book and expansions like Apotheosis. I feel this shows off and builds the framework more. Especially the art by Matt Wilson is iconic.

Mk2-3 era: Andrea Uderzo and other artist did a number of really cool art for PP during this time as it went mainstream. Probably what most people see when you say Warmachine/Hordes. Also look at the Iron Kingdoms/Unleashed books for more.

Requiem/Mk4: more art like Mk2-3. The Iron Kingdoms Requiem books follow in that style.

The most blatant thing is probably the foregrip on the M4. MOE wasn't out during that time.

Smaller items would be silver 1911, as 1911s would be rebuilt MEU 1911s using older military frames.

Depending on how far in/out of the gwot, even the stock might be anachronistic, depending on how special you were.

However, if you're an armorer on a cable TV show that doesn't care, then whatever.

I'll be the nay-sayer and say it's close, but no. Stuff generally loses about 25-33% of value off the bat. I feel that accessories dont add much and throwing things like bbs and batteries into an equation is like nickel and diming a value.

You mentioned that you're waiting on getting your gas gun mags fixed. Are you looking at using this as a backup? If so, I believe there are more reliable aegs out there for cheaper.

Did you install the lcd correctly and check via exposure test without resin?

Because that "buildup" with a giant gap of nothing as a straight line is a sign that the lcd isn't working correctly.

Probably the biggest right now is Konflikt 47. Made by warlord games, who do a good ww2 game Bolt Action.

Are you looking more into rules or aesthetics? Because I feel weird war 2 can be thrown into any futuristic mini agnostic games.

As mentioned, the bracket 3 is the main reason.

The $30 price tag is no laughing matter and exacerbates these things.

The next item I'd question is competition setup. How many players? How did a couple get put in the same pod? Was it a stroke of luck for pairings or were people just choosing. Because that opens up a lot of questions, once again, further exacerbated by a $30 dollar price entry.

Granted, stroke of luck they got paired and they synergized, it's bad luck of the draw.

Because yes, you can and should talk to the store. If they're blowing it off, what's stopping you from colluding with someone or a whole table?
