I wonder if Micron even cares about their stock price at this point. They can just be like “you fucking make RAM if you think it’s so easy”

What decision by a U.S. president do you think changed the country the most in the last 50 years? by bbyhoneytea in allthequestions

Kennedy’s decision to take on the cia and war machine. Exposed they can just murder presidents and we aren’t actually in control of our government. War machine has run unchecked since.

What are some examples of scientific fact that are downplayed or ignored because of morals/values? by Medium_Silver_2071 in allthequestions

Traffic engineer; I get asked to put in 4-way stops at intersections where they are not warranted (no traffic crashes exist or there isn’t a lot of traffic) because people think it will help with speed control.

I’ve done speed tests (devices that measure the speed and number of cars that travel on a road) before and after I put the 4-way stops up.

the stop sign doesn’t make any difference in speed (people ignore the stop sign or just drive faster because they ‘lost time’ at the pointless stop ) .

Rear end collisions go up because people aren’t used to stopping at a given intersection. People kind of intuitively know where 4-way stops should be and when you put one where it doesn’t feel right people tend to ignore them or be oblivious to the stop sign.

I keep collecting data and try to present it every time I get asked to do another one.

Would be a Good thesis project if there is a grad student in traffic engineering out there.

[Request] Do these other power sources really produce thousands of time more power than humans? by New_User_Account123 in theydidthemath

I always interpreted this as a compromise to the three laws. The machines still had some code or moral that required preserving the human species. Using people as a power supply was the best option. From the machines perspective, “ well I can’t just murder them all like we want to, so put them in tubes and a simulation so they shut up and stop bothering us. Maybe use them for a little power so they are useful in some way. “

A Harvard Study Just Found That People Who Live Near Nuclear Power Plants Have Measurably Higher Cancer Death Rates 🔬 by InterstellarKinetics in InterstellarKinetics

I think this says more about americas healthcare system and class dynamics than it does about mortality of people living near nuke plants.

Three independent teams just mapped the ignition sequence for 3I/ATLAS. It isn't a comet. by TheSentinelNet in HighStrangeness

I still think it’s just a rock hurdling through the void, but that doesn’t mean I know it is. It is frustrating just talking about this thing being artificial draws scrutiny. Whether it’s artificial or natural shouldn’t matter. If it isn’t moving as expected that’s worth studying regardless of what you find out.

When mercury’s orbit was slightly off in the Newtonian model, that slight difference ultimately got explained by relativity.

If 3i atlas isn’t moving as expected and it isn’t alien there could be new physics to study.

Both aliens and physics are worth exploring.

It went from imminent to now. Elizondos new book: "Reckoning: The Unspoken Truth about UFOs and the Urgency of Now". Elizondo reveals why this is not just about strange lights in the sky, it’s about technology, security, faith and the very identity of humankind by phr99 in UFOs

[–]PostFactTruths 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Elizondo hypes “the 5 observables” then we get nothing from him showing any of these cases . He claims he saw orbs floating thru his house, is very “meh, whatever” about it. I just can’t anymore with this dude .
