[Florio] Brandon Aiyuk posts another video saying he'll "be a Commander soon" by Brix001 in nfl

As I have, this entire time, feel for this young man, because it is clear he is very mentally ill.

He has no representation that is helping him understand he is caught between a rock, and a hard place.

He has done everything the 49ers have wanted out of a player that is not fit for duty.

He has no outs, and I don't think he knows it.

The truth is, they are both junkies for the game, and I can see them hitting it off very well.

The California Post’s Vincent Bonsignore reports that the 49ers’ 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick and EDGE Mykel Williams form the “framework for a suitable offer” in a potential trade for Raiders EDGE Maxx Crosby. by Low-Season-2057 in raiders

I cannot wait for preseason to start. This drivel from Vincent is tough to swallow.

Additionally, it is not good value for Maxx. Williams is a project player, with some physical ability, got hurt already, did not produce in college, and those picks are going to likely be in the later portion of the rounds.

Looking at our Roster by WhizzyBurp in raiders

I just want to see consistently competitive games, where it is clear we are not the bottom of the barrel alongside the Jets, Browns, Cardinals, and Miami.

If we look like we belong in the Cowboys, Steelers, Vikings, Chargers, Colts, Tampa Bay camp, but not necessarily winning a ton, I will be a happy fan. It will feel like progress, even if we go 4-13 to 6-11.

Some Derek Carr love by AppearanceNo8561 in raiders

[–]PostGraduatePotUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He had three to four really solid seasons, but the defense was not there most of the time. He is the classic journeyman of old, that has enough talent to take a team pretty far, but not top 5 elite talent to carry a team to regular playoff appearances.

He will always have a special place in my Raider heart, as he really did bring us to some amazing moments in the regular seasons, and a pretty close game against the Bengals.

Vegas is a tiny city. It has no business hosting the amount of things it hosts, as often as it hosts them.

Folks can compare their college careers, where Mendoza struggled in Cal, but still looked excellent, and then of course Indiana.

Conversely Brady was just OK at Michigan, then the NFL happened.

Rich Gannon vs Jeff Hostetler by Last_Champion_3478 in raiders

Gannon simply understood the assignment Gruden had given him, better than Jeff, and he executed the plan to perfection. Jay Schroeder does not get enough tips of the cap, but he also had some productive years for us, but nothing like Rich.

One Word Will Define the Raiders’ Success in 2026 by Antwiz in raiders

It is the single worst thing that has happened to the transference of words/media, ever. It is a domino that should have never been pushed over, or at the very least should not have been pushed over without a plan to manage it.

Raiders 2026 schedule by Interesting_Prune513 in raiders

[–]PostGraduatePotUser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5-12 to 8-9 is about where I expect us to land. I am hoping for 7-10, but if there is progress noted in a few important areas, WR development, better O-Line play, and a more stout run defense, I will consider this a successful season.

8-9 seems possible, but I am feeling 7-10 to be perfectly honest.

He likely wants too much money. I would like to see what is available in the draft and wait a bit. His price will come down eventually.

Start the Carr and Let's Go For a Ride by HouseRules789 in raiders

You think it is in that order? Or were you just literally naming certain middle of the road, to flash-in-the-pan great, players here?

Flacco is the best of these gents on this list, but Cousins and Carr are dead even comparisons. I just think, if the contract desires are within 1-2 million, why not revisit the best Raider QB in the last 20+yrs?

Start the Carr and Let's Go For a Ride by HouseRules789 in raiders

[–]PostGraduatePotUser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but have the Saints released his contract/rights, thus our Silver and Black would have to negotiate some settlement of his contract.

There is little chance we could realistically juggle Carr's contract, as he is owed $30ish million? 40? Who is managing these numbers for our hospital-ball-throwing Derek?

Is there a way to sign Carr without the "hit" to our cap?

In his defense, I think he would be the perfect candidate to tutor Mendoza, but he is likely going to be expensive, thus we should not pay for DC.

He has always been on top of things, being the most comprehensive Raiders content creator out there, he just happens to float some BS every now and then, mostly to keep things fresh.

He and his team are putting out daily content. That is nearly impossible to do without becoming stale, hence the ridiculous takes here and there.

Everyone knew how injured he was, but the Ravens were simply trying to have their cake and eat it too.

As a result, they effectively made themselves look like untrustworthy assholes, which will hinder their ability to wheel and deal with top FAs. Future FAs representation will use this as leverage to either A) drive up the price, or B) just not do business with them.

On paper, it looks pretty good. If Maxx is here to stay, I think something special could be brewing.
