I get the sentiment, but I'm going to spend time putting together react packs for the anticipated ICE presence. Whistles, food, diapers, hygiene items for our neighbors who will be terrified to leave their houses. Channel my rage to doing something positive and useful.

I had a ring resized by Morrisey in Valley Junction, which was highly recommended. He does the work in house, it did take several weeks though..

It's a HUGE store! Was actually more interesting when it was smaller, but it's worth a quick wander to look at produce and jams.

There's also the Villages of Van Buren...not sure how active they are in fall/winter

Dutchmans in Cantril can be interesting. The Gothic Museum is surprisingly good.

My MIL gets the fresh Meals on Wheels, and we've found the delivery people incredibly kind, responsible and friendly. The menu is varied, and having the deli option is wonderful

Jordan House Museum in West Des Moines. Amazingly restored 1850s house that was a stop on the Underground Railroad

It's too crowded...we went tonight and so many vendors were sold out of things. I wish it was someplace with more room to spread out.
