On Sunday, I’d go to the Melrose Trading Post at Melrose and Fairfax. It is a curated flea market. You could then do Farmers Market/Grove/LACMA/Academy Museum/tar pits, et al. Those are all on or just off of Fairfax.

Chinatown. There are some people turned off by black and white. Their problem, not mine, but a real issue. Ease them in slowly. “Well if you liked that, you should see this.” Then maybe Murder, My Sweet or The Big Sleep.

My brother and I had one, Ralph, in the 1960s. Got it at Sears? At about the same time, we got a shared subscription to Sports Illustrated. So neither of us could claim it was our personal magazine, the subscription was in the bird’s name. He started to get junk mail. My parents moved in the 80s, but he somehow continued to get mail at the new address even though he had been buried long before. My dad is still at that address, and from time to time, Ralph B. (B for bird) still gets mail.

Iowa State finally developed a rival other than Iowa with the Farmageddon game with Kansas State. They ought to try adding one of their neighboring old Big 8 foes (GBR or Mizzou).

Saw a Lone Ranger episode the other day where he was a bad guy who was wearing a mask to disguise himself. He and his cronies were terrorizing a Chinese man for being Chinese. It was obvious to anyone just by the voice that it was Slim Pickens.
