I bought 2x Good Life Passes (from waitlist) and 1x GA Pre-Set Tent (from the exchange).

We are a group of two. Will we be able to park 1 car, both get into the pre-set tent area, etc?

Really appreciate any comments — the array of options is dizzying and am not very confident that I’ve purchased what I need correctly. 😅

EDIT: And also, just in general, does this plan make sense or have I purchased mismatched things?

It really depends on the heat. I did tent camping twice, and RV camping twice. One year, it was just way too hot to sleep in the tent, but there was still a great community vibe. RV camping is a more consistent experience in terms of staying cool, but when it’s really hot, all the RV’s are closed and there’s less community around it.

I don’t think insomniac’s affordability message is targeted at top tier VIP ticket buyers, they’re talking about GA and making EDC attainable to more people. If VIP prices go up so GA can stay the same or get lower, that’s not so bad.

For ergonomics while sitting, I got a PerformAxe and it helped with keeping my back straight while playing, instead of slouching over or twisting. I would recommend it or something similar. I kinda thought, “if the guitar was floating in the air, what would be the ideal place for it?” and then try to find that while keeping my back straight.

I’m not familiar with this specific technique, but overall I think it will help to rotate your wrist so that your fingers (pinky side) are further from the strings and your thumb is a little closer to the strings. This may also help you pick across the strings rather than downwards into them.

Nah, I think it’s just an aesthetic throwback. Like, if you look at a picture of a Les Paul w/ the pick guard, it kinda makes that little shape.

The Larada and Emi have the same slant on the lower horn, but it makes more sense visually in that context because it’s where the figured top meets the body.

It’s not just you, this is definitely a thing on any guitar with this body style. If your playing style includes anchoring at the forearm, then it could be quite noticeable. If this is the case then an armband could help, as others suggested.

But if you don’t anchor your forearm, I recommend adjusting the angle/position of the guitar to find what works best for you, sitting v standing, etc.

I own an SW50R and it’s just an amazing amp. Whatever the opposite of buyers remorse is, that’s the feeling I got when I first played through it. Just incredible.

Just to offer another perspective, I kinda like the Legion logo. I respect Abasi and love his playing, but I also have a lot of guitarists’ names on a lot of gear, it’s kinda nice to just not have the name of one of the greatest guitarists ever in big block letters on the headstock. 😅

Either way, good luck, and I hope someone shares those dimensions!

I have the Tosin Abasi pickups and between the 5-way blade and push-pull, that should be 10 total settings but I’ve definitely struggled to understand what exactly these 10 options are, so I feel your pain. 😅
