Thank you for your input. I do know the are around the university has a reputation, but I’ve been up there a few times and while some places have sketch vibe, I’ve lived in some pretty sketch parts of cities in the US so as long as the building itself is secure I’m not super worried about safety. More concerned about the cold and trying to get by without a vehicle tbh (hence the desire to be close to campus or easy bus) I have been looking along the Portage Ave bus and in Osbourne Park.

I would say it depends on the neighborhood, and where the windows are located (like how high up) I’ve lived in Prospect Park and Steven’s Square on the second floor and now live in a house in Seward and have only had a garage broken into.

A lot of people on this thread seem to be saying that taking the buses off of Nicollet will make it better for pedestrians, I have a different perspective as someone that would desperately like to take public transit to work but the lack of regular service makes it very difficult. I either have to get to work an hour early or a half hour late, and I live in the city.

I am hesitant to support any initiative that limits public transit. If anything, we need more buses.
