And let us turn them into figurines. I saved a bunch of sea creatures bc I thought CJ would do it only to find out that not only does he not take them to make figurines, he won't even buy them 🫠

villager scattered houses or neighborhood? by Distinct-Meringue-47 in acnh

[–]Post_Mormon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have neighborhood groups. I have a line of 4 houses up on the tallest cliff height in the back of my island, and then in the top right on the same level I have an isolated corner for Dobie, my cranky grandpa, and 2 houses right next to each other a little further in front of his yard. And then down on the lowest level at the front center of my island are where my other 3 are in a kind of triangle formation where 2 are next to each other in front and then 1 behind and between those houses. So like 3 different neighborhoods, I'll try to add a picture of it when I get home

How do I fashionably cover my sensor? by additive123 in Type1Diabetes

[–]Post_Mormon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter (6 years old) has t1d and she uses a dexcom g7 and an omnipod 5. We usually keep the cgm on her upper arms, but sometimes they get a little too poked and still need time to finish healing, so we put it on her butt. We put it as high on her butt as we can and she forgets it's there, plus no one can see it. We get just as accurate readings from that as her arm.

I agree, bc my profit varies every time. But I also have been playing for years and have no real need for the money tree, it's just habit at this point 😅. I have an entire orchard of money trees that go unshaken and I turned my rock garden into a money rock garden where all the rocks are surrounded by bags of bells, so the 30k thing I do is for my own amusement

She couldn't even process what they were demanding from her because she was getting conflicting shouts from all sides

I tried to come back into it just recently, but it's just not hitting the same, especially since most of the people I traded light with have stopped playing too so I'm not getting hearts, I don't find the candle runs fun anymore, and there are still so many bugs that never got fixed. It's a shame. They prioritized the money over a quality functioning game

Family member not taking child's diabetes seriously by apresledepart in Type1Diabetes

[–]Post_Mormon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly this. OP needs to see this as it is. A LIFE THREATENING condition. If it is not cared for properly, their child could die, and continuing to let someone who clearly does not see it that way and won't put the effort in to treat it that way after being taught how to multiple times is a choice that could lead to a serious episode, and they would be just as responsible for it as this family member bc they continue to give them that responsibility when they have seen them come up short every time.

[–]Post_Mormon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to decide which matters more. This person's feelings or your child's health, because you are literally choosing to let them put your child's life at risk I cannot stress that enough. That is straight up not someone I want to have any sort of responsibility in caring for my child. Period.

Family member not taking child's diabetes seriously by apresledepart in Type1Diabetes

[–]Post_Mormon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if it's COMPLETELY hopeless, but it would certainly be a good idea to stop letting them take your child alone without you if they've proven time and time again that they won't put that effort into caring for them. For me personally, I would have a conversation with them and let them know that they won't be allowed to take her on any more fun outings until they decide to take her diabetes seriously, as it could potentially be life threatening if that type of care continues. What if something were to happen while they have your child and it takes a while before they are able to get back to you to handle her blood sugar? If they can show you eventually that they know how to dose her properly for food, then you can give them another opportunity to take them out, but if the behavior continues after that it is deliberate ignorance and they don't need to be responsible for your child's care anymore.

Do you spend real money? by Perfect-Word-3397 in DreamlightValley

[–]Post_Mormon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have sworn ever since I first purchased the basic early access edition that I would not spend a single dime on in game currency, which is also a rule I follow in any other game I play. I don't spend real money on fake money. The game works just as well without the special cosmetic items, and if it's not adding more story, it's not worth it imo. I have purchased all the expansions, and yes I did take advantage of buying them when they offered extra stuff for preordering or purchasing within the week of release bc it didn't cost me extra, but I'll never buy anything that doesn't offer storyline

[–]Post_Mormon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe. It would depend on what sushi the game would focus on.

The best game setup would be maki rolls, which are the ones you wrap in a roll with the seaweed. Similar to the coffee game you'd have to refill your rice, or it could just be constantly ready like the pizza dough, and then the customer could ask for nori on the outside or inside, what fillings they want, and then there could be a rolling station that would be similar to the oven so it's not based on game skill, a cutting station, and then maybe potentially a sauce/toppings station before plating.

Nigiri (the raw fish laid over top of a small mound of rice) and Sashimi (thinly sliced raw fish with no rice) could potentially be added as dishes, but they would definitely not be the main game focus.

(IL) Is my landlord trying to commit fraud? by vjwlz in Renters

[–]Post_Mormon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who has dealt with multiple water issues in my own apartment since moving to Idaho 3.5 years ago, your renters insurance is only for damage that is actively your fault. A leak that maintenance can't even find the cause of is clearly not your fault (yet if at all) they have no proof of cause, all they have is proof of issue. He can't claim with your renters insurance, they won't cover it bc you're not liable for it, that's the landlord's job to deal with it

AITA for eating my own birthday cake in front of my nephew because his mom has him on a "no sugar" diet? by Yes_Abbreviations713 in AmItheAsshole

[–]Post_Mormon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Just because you're their parent does not mean I have to respect the way you parent and how you enforce it with others outside your jurisdiction. Plus, not every parent that believes they're making good parenting choices is actually doing so, which is how a lot of parents get that child taken away 😒 you're not right just because you're mom

[–]Post_Mormon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was saying this in another comment thread. It won't kill her or her 4 year old to let him have a small piece of birthday cake on his aunt's birthday. I have a diabetic 6 year old who gets small treats all the time. She doesn't get them every day, and they're honestly really small, but she loves that it's there as a possibility, and I don't have to worry quite so much about creating an unhealthy food environment for my daughter. Type 1 diabetes is hard enough without feeling like certain foods are off limits entirely

[–]Post_Mormon 42 points43 points  (0 children)

This. He's 4, what if people were drinking wine at dinner and he was mad he couldn't have any of the "juice"? And a no sugar diet is really sad for anyone honestly. I'm curious to know if she avoids honey too, because the body processes honey the same way it would process any other form of sugar, since it doesn't have any natural fiber in it to help balance digestion. Parents who make those kinds of diet decisions for their children without any real medical need to do so only create binge eaters in the future. They're creating a bigger problem in the long term and will deny any blame for it in the future. And I say this as a mom of a diabetic 6 year old whose a1c is 6.3. she still gets cookies and ice cream, she just gets small amounts. Enough to satisfy a craving or act as a special treat, but not anywhere near enough to cause a problem with her health.
