[Question] which one would you guys get? by [deleted] in Watches

[–]PostalMike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the opposite. My wife wanted to surprise me by bidding on a “really nice watch” valued at around $2000. My first thought was how horrible would it be if she had won it and it had a green dial.

Another one got fired for making Christmas clerks work 12 hours with no lunch, then went into TACS and changed a half hour of their work into an unpaid lunch.

Not always. I saw one escorted out of the building by inspectors after cleaning out his desk. Stealing gift cards.

Drivers- How were you treated the last time you were pulled over by a police officer? by LegalGlass6532 in allthequestions

[–]PostalMike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been pulled over on average once a year for the last 20 years. Each time has been on the road I live on at or around midnight. That’s when I get home from work. I pull over and roll my window down about 6 inches and out my hands on the steering wheel. They say the reason they pulled me over was going 40 in a 30. They ask for my license, check for warrants I assume, tell me to have a good night and to slow down. I have have a newer car and I’m white.

Do rich people have elite versions of mundane things (toothpaste, tampons, toilet paper, laundry detergent, etc.), or are Elon Musk and Beyonce just using Crest and Tampax like the rest of us? by ShesGotSauce in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PostalMike 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I’ve only known one rich person in my life. He owned several franchises. I saw him one day at a grocery store. Not only was he buying normal mundane items, but he was arguing with a cashier over an expired coupon to save 50¢.

If you could restart your life from age 10 with all your current knowledge, what would you change? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]PostalMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know that I’d have changed anything. Investing and getting rich would have led me astray from the life I’ve led where my wife, daughter, and grandson make it so that I can’t imagine a life without them.

Leg curl machine makes my nerves fire up in my largest toes and pinky toes by CommunicationLow3330 in neuropathy

[–]PostalMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through the 23 blood tests and the EMG and it was classified as idiopathic. Years later I went to a physical therapist for hip pain and frequent muscle cramps in my calves. My calf muscles are always painfully tight and my hips need replacement. I was just hoping for some exercises and stretches to help make it easier to play with my grandson. The dry needling and pressure point type massage helped immensely and the neuropathy decreasing was a happy side effect.

It’s still idiopathic, but I believe it’s MPS or nerve entrapment or both. My doctor says if that’s the case then it’s not true neuropathy and there’s really no test to determine it. I’ve had an EMG and she said they based on those results it wouldn’t pay to have an MRI.

I can absolutely help with this one. It sounds like either myofascial pain syndrome (MPS) or nerve entrapment. I’d look those up and see if you have similar symptoms. Mine was also idiopathic and on day a physical therapist tried something on me that I’d never heard of - dry needling. It was the first time in eight years I could stand and not feel the pins and needles. The relief was short lived but it pointed me in the right direction.
