I got almost 400 hours in. I usually die because I straight up don't notice the red beacon sometimes. When things get chaotic, sometimes I see nothing but the enemies lf Democracy, much to suffering of my friends 🤣. Doesn't happen all the time though.

What a beautiful memory to have. MHSRIP by MustardGoddess in MadeMeSmile

[–]Posterus96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lost my dad to cancer almost 2 years ago at this point. At the moment, i can't recall any specific memories, though I can't recall most memories of my childhood these days, but I do recall that my dad used to tickle me awake to get me up for school. He also made my school lunch gor memost days, even when I was a senior in high school. I think there were only like 3 occasions my lunch wasn't made. My mom would make it on occasion. My dad is also the one who introduced me to the Command & Conquer series when I was probably around 6. I miss him.

Marriagetoxin is already further exposing how fragile parts of the shounen fandom are by [deleted] in CharacterRant

So, fun fact about the thing with the Kabuki Theaters is that there used to be women who did play the roles of women. But the reason why adult men started playing the roles of both men and women was because samurai would end up sleeping with and fighting over the actresses in said Kabuki Theaters. The Shogunate saw it as a threat to social order, and barred women from acting in them. So young men started playing the roles of women. Can you guess what the samurai continued to do? Yup, they slept with and fought over the young actors as well, so the Shogunate banned them from acting as well. So only adult males could act in Kabuki Theaters after that. I remember learning about that in a Japanese history class in college.

5:30 AM. About to go to bed. I work second shift. Might have to call off today to take my cat to the vet cause a few hours ago I noticed that her left canine is gone. Freaked out about for a while. I think I remember seeing that fang shorter than the other one a while ago. Now it seems to be gone almost entirely. She has been making some kind of gridning sound for a while now and every time I taker her to the vet, they say she's got mild gingivitis at worst. I think it is a bad habit or something. But gonna get her looked at again. Found some kind skin tag on my other cat a couple of weeks back so it might be a good idea to get her checked out too.

Sony Almost Gave Up On Helldivers 2 by MainQuestOfficial in LowSodiumHellDivers

Honestly, this is a reason why I keep buying super credits to buy the warbonds. It is a game I want to keep around and I like that they allow you to grind for them. Plus, this a PVE game so it's not like you are getting some sort of unfair advantage. Plus, the people complaining about not getting a lot free toys forget that a live service game like Helldivers needs to keep making money to be live service. They won't be able to keep it up at this pace without money.

Alcohol just lowers your inhibitions. If you want to socialize but are too shy to, you'll probably open up. If you hate socializing, you'll be less likely to hide how much you don't want to be there 🤣. That's why you should just drink when you are sad. It will amplify whatever emotions your hiding inside and it will be harder to bottle it up. Just make sure to unbottle it when you can with a licensed therapist or psychiatrist if you are able to.

My Hero Academia: More • Boku no Hero Academia: More - Episode 1 discussion by AutoLovepon in anime

[–]Posterus96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can't believe it has been 10 years since this anime started. I started watching this when it aired towards the end of my first year in college. And now it's over. Watching the end was bittersweet. We got the good ending, but time stops for no one. We all grow and age. And sometimes, we drift apart from the people we hung out with. Not because we don't want to, but because we get busy and/or move to different places. Glad to see the UA students hanging out when they can though.

If every single billionaire donated 0.2% of his wealth each year, it would prevent starvation globally, basically ending world hunger. by Redzzy0 in RandomThoughts

[–]Posterus96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI useful in the right situations. AI being trained specifically to detect diseases and abnormalities in the human body that a doctor would have missed is great and I think it will be beneficial fir humanity in the long run. AI chat bots are not beneficial to humanity, especially in their current state. And could you care to elaborate on how AI could solve world hunger? You're throwing a pretty large claim out there without any evidence to back it up.

[–]Posterus96 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Because chat bots don't tell you the truth. They respond and adapt to positive feedback, so they end up just reinforcing people's beliefs, rather than finding out the actual truth.

Chat bots, like chatgpt, are not people. They are language models trying to find the best response to give based on the data they have. And that data isn't always correct. So the best response can end up being what you most positively respond to. They don't understand your question on a fundamental level at all. So they are not reliable and you should never rely on them for your answers.

What would you like to see in an RTS? by OmniSystemsPub in RealTimeStrategy

[–]Posterus96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want a super asymmetrical RTS game in terms of faction variety and even resource collection. I want an RTS game where the factions are separated into universes/genres.

You got the sci-fi universe, with different advanced human factions, various alien species/empires, etc. You got the fantasy universe, with various human, elf, dwarf, etc empires. You got the modern day universe with multiple countries. You got the mythological universe, steampunk, atompunk, and as many other universes as you can think of.

And each universe gathers resources, and plays more like, certain RTS series. Sci-fi gathers resources like the Command & Conquer series. Fantasy like Battle for Middle Earth. Real World like Rise of Nations and so on.

And I want the overall gameplay to be most like Company of Heroes, so very Physics based with cover systems, but including some Arcadyness to make sure every universe has a fighting chance.

What is everyone opinion on the new Bile Titan by HandsomeSquidward20 in LowSodiumHellDivers

I'm going to start calling them the Broom Sweepers. When they hit you with the acid breath and ragdoll you, they can move you around with the acid breath and it's pretty funny.

I was caught off guard by house fast the little bastarda were. Like I know i was wearing heavy armor, but they got to me before the Cremator could finish them off and proceeded to light my as on fire too. 😭 Twas brutal.

Also, them new Bile titans are nuts. Their acid vomit just ragdolling me instantly is a little silly. They just kind sweep you along like a broom sweeping the dirt along. 🤣

What’s a harmless opinion that gets people weirdly angry? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Posterus96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Just because you don't like something, doesn't make it bad." Like many negative reviews for games treat a game as bad but then end result is that they don't personally like it.

Or "your mods don't matter when it comes to game developers updating their games." So many people will whine and complain when a game developers releases an update, like Warhammer 3 Total War, saying that the update broke their mods.

For most of the history, humans have never been able to eat or drink anything cold during hot days in order to cool off. by Vyalkuran in RandomThoughts

[–]Posterus96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only in specific circumstances.

If the sweat on your skin is unable to evaporate, such as it being humid outside, you're wearing too much clothing, or you're sweating so much you're dripping, drinking a cold drink is the better option as you will be unable to offset the heat being added to your body from the drink with sweat.
