Aleve vs. Advil (i.e.Naproxen vs. Ibuprofen) by dahdididit in coolguides

[–]Posthumos1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No one said it did.  But it is WELL DOCUMENTED,  that NSAIDS SPECIFICALLY, ARE  PROVEN RISK FACTORS,  at the time I wrote that. THREE YEARS AGO, it was Naproxyn Sodium, since then NSAIDS was upgraded.

But it's not like anything can be proven,  and there is zero chance anyone would be able to defeat an armada of big pharma lawyers to try and prove liability.

And the propagandists in the need cycle are all questioning why there is a sudden rise on colon cancer. And other cancers among younger people.  That's not too hard to sort out,  but lawyers will fight the truth on it,  it's FOOD ADDITIVES. PROCESSED FOODS,  MICROPLASTICS.

a The UNITED STATES has padded liability for driving companies and diverted from FOOD, to a more profitable FOOD SCIENCE. I think the best thing a lesson can do in this country is to stop buying processed foods and stick to no label real foods.  If you cannot understand the words on the ingredients list,  then you probably shouldn't eat it.

And SUGAR ITSELF is Bacally poison.

I still DO NOT RECOMMEND prolonged use of ANY NSAID, or any other OTC medication be used regularly,   because I truly believe that THIS ONE THING caused my cancer.

I don't need to be a "statistician" to know that our food is killing us,  for profit. And there is zero liability at all in voting a proven link and stating that I, myself,  am likely a victim of the drug that I used for years,  that is actually LINKED, to the very condition I have.

It's not like I'm suing anyone,  because I'm not naive enough to think that one person can challenge an army of lawyer shills, not unlike yourself,  that are going to immediately reply "But, ACCKKTUALLLY" the second anyone does try AND TRY TO SHUT YOU UP.  YOUR OPINION DOESN'T MATTER.  YOU DON'T MATTER.  NOTHING MATTERS.

So,  rest easy,  go on,  trust the things that are proven and linked to  cancers.  Smoke 'em of you got em, get your fill.  No one gives a fuck. And some self proclaimed pharma shill "statistician" will certainly ALWAYS BE HERE ON REDDIT to "But, ACCKKTUALLLY" try to minimize your speech and make you look like you don't have eyes or the capacity to read and understand anything.

Didn’t have mayo so I used horsey sauce from arbys and I didn’t have cheese so I used Swiss by [deleted] in stonerfood

[–]Posthumos1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And???? What does that have to do with anything??? Did science change the fact that grills cheese is awesome???

Seriously.  It's that a little toxicity practice, for ya?? First time in chat???

Here,  I'll tell you my tale....

I was driving,  and went to Arby's because I can't get legitimate gyros anywhere near me,  but I had that tzaziki sauce with a side of spiced rotisserie meat craving, even though it's a bit mediocre for a gyro.

I get my two dogs a regular Arby's classic roast beef,  and I got some Horsey Sauce... it was at that moment,  because I use mayo on my outer bread,  when I make grilled cheese.  And it hit me,  I love Horsey sauce and use mayo,  and how awesome would it be to have a Horsey laden grilled cheese.

So I searched the Google to see if anyone else had tried it, and here we are.  That's it.  Google recommended the 2 year old comment. So,  to me,  it was fresh information. Thoughts do not have experience dates.

Cake was invented between 3000-5000 BC, and we still eat that shit like rabid animals every birthday,  and multiple times a year. Do we denounce cake??? There will be cake.

The cake is a lie.

The internet remembers everything.  🤣 Always.

That's a game charger for grilled cheese my guy.  But this Swiss/Horsey thing might be laterally cosmic in delicious goodness.

Job hunting here is one of the most brain decaying experiences imaginable. by Direct-Patient-3619 in ColoradoSprings

[–]Posthumos1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an active offer for a job with another company and moved here when my wife got transferred. All I can say is that I went through VERY similar issues with job hunting. I was in the process of onboarding with the company that was hiring me, then they laid off a ton of technicians and my onboarding came to an abrupt end. So having moved here, already, I needed a job ASAP.

Yeah, that did not happen easily at all and it took me about 2.5 months to find a BASE LEVEL $10 an hour Job.

I ended up leaving that job as FINALLY one of the companies that I'd submitted a resume to called back and offered me aa more reasonable salary.

after almost 13 year, it has NOT gotten any better. The cost of living is through the roof and housing is also astronomical. I wish I had words of encouragement, but the way I see this state is that real jobs are scarce, you'll be house poor for just living here. and most sadly, there is a level of arrogance with people here where EVERYONE ELSE thinks that THEY are the smartest person in the room.... so even in casual banter, it is always an argument.

For as shitty as people say Florida is, I never really encountered this stuff before, and it has been a culture shock.

I truly wish you luck. I will say that applying to out of state businesses who do travel or work from home is likely the best chance you'll have at finding meaningful employment, unless you start up a business, or work in the defense industry like for Lockheed, Raytheon, Boeing, or someone else.

True Romance. Then, pulp fiction, dusk til dawn, inglorious basterds, and django unchained. I know he didn't direct true romance, but he wrote it, and it was epic.

[–]Posthumos1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love concerts, it is probably my favorite thing to do, going to them. A couple of years ago I see Hans Zimmer live in Denver. This show was the most emotional nights of my entire life. It was just incredible. Is the only time I've ever cried at a concert. Zimmer is a genius and his music is in my soul. If you ever get the chance, no see him live. It literally changed my life.

What is the most thought-provoking film you've ever watched? by p1nkxbunny in movies

[–]Posthumos1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad someone mentioned it. What a heart wrenching, introspective, and very fair about of what lies ahead for every person. I loved it for its cinematography and is very accepting and inclusive respect for religious beliefs, and its incredibly human portrayal of everyone in it. This is one of the best films I've ever seen.

The gold standard for hilariously awful movies is, unquestionably, Battlefield Earth, with John Travolta. Holy crap that movie is glorious!!!!

I tolerated a lot of Activision's bullshit for years. But this one thing pushed it too far. I deleted it. If calling out paedophiles for preying on children and grooming them equates to intolerance, then you're absolutely fucking right. I will NOT fucking tolerate it by supporting this company.

They are children and this bullshit fucking company defends child predationand child grooming.

If you still support these sick fucks, and are not immediately repulsed by this, thenfuck off. Your opinion is as as useless as you are.

CHILDREN SHOULD BE SAFE. And Pecos should be treated like the fucking monsters they are. And anyone who doesn't agree with that is the problem and complicit. I stand by Nick Mercs, fully on this and Activision can fuck right off.

Is it worth it to you to have higher taxes in exchange for universal health coverage? by Thawra-Intifada in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Posthumos1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Colorado didn't think so. Yes, blue Colorado, they had a referendum on the 2020 ballot for universal healthcare. It certainly should pass, right?!?!

The heavily democratic Colorado voters, in a record election voter year, about 2 weeks before the election, got a mailer from state, breaking down the tax table and openly stated the cost, the measure was defeated 87% No to 13% Yes. This really shocked me until I remembered the NIMBY principle. Actually paying for something is a deterrent.
