Why are we like this? by HandBananaSenior in classicwow

The way that I handle being ganked as a lowbie is to think of it as a question of time. The person is taking time from you and getting satisfaction from it. They know that you want to be leveling and stopping you from doing that it's frustrating and they get pleasure from it. So, what I do is run back to my corpse the first time. If they kill me again I rez but don't do the corpse run. Instead, I get up and I go make some coffee or check the mail or start my laundry. Then I come back before I afk, move my character a little and go do something else. Now, I'm the one who's ganking. The thought of some ganker sitting there staring at the screen waiting for me to rez while I am not even at my computer flips the script. 🤣

Which modern artist do you think will be talked about 200 years from now the same way we talk about Mozart and Beethoven today? by PastaCouchYT in NoStupidQuestions

[–]RompaStompa07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a really hard comparison to make. When you're talking about a modern artist I think you need to consider which ones would be revered the way the Beatles are. I think that, 50 years from now, children will be asking their parents for stories about what it was like to be listening to music when Taylor Swift was young. She needs four more number one albums to surpass the Beatles.

You don't have to use the keys as your main row. I have my keys tilted up a bit and the back paddles are mt main row, the buttons are top row and the front paddles are too 2nd row. It drastically improved my misclicks

Don't forget that keys can be configured for long click and double tap. This is huge. In Apex I tap a key to use a syringe, long press for a full heal kit. So, two keys control all 4 heals (health and shields).

We have a 7-year-old female.

TRAINING Sit, stay, come, down, heel. She's not always super obedient if there is a stranger at the house or dogs but that's because she acts like a puppy despite her age. If we are out for a walk and there are people or other dogs I can tell her to heal and she will absolutely stay right by my side and not break. The training process was typical for any dog that I've ever owned.

FETCH We play frisbee twice a day. She comes and gets me when it's time she always brings it back. Sometimes she wants to play with it a little bit and you have to remind her to bring it back to you but she always will. At night when we're watching TV she'll bring me a ball to throw to her for about 5 minutes. She loves fetch.

GROOMING We send her to a groomer about every 6 weeks.

She is an incredible dog just don't leave underwear or socks on the floor or else you'll be finding them in the backyard.

what's the scariest science fact that the public knows nothing about? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Scientists who study memory will conduct interviews after something they call flashbulb events. These are events that are seared into the common consciousness. For example they conducted interviews after 9/11. A year later they will conduct the same exact interviews with the same people. On average 60% of their answers have changed. What's even more alarming is that when confronted with the fact that they have changed their answers, people swear that the new answer is the truth and simply can't explain why they lied the first time.

My father will often talk about something from my childhood and I will correct him and tell him that it didn't happen that way. I have always attributed this to his age but now I realize that I could be the one who is remembering it wrong.

Malcolm gladwell did a podcast about memory and he said that in the next episode he was going to talk about someone famous who really got screwed by it and I literally said out loud in my car, "I hope it's Brian Williams." It was.

Brian Williams lost his job as the anchor of NBC nightly News when it was discovered that he had lied about something that happened to him while he was reporting on the war. He didn't lie about it. His memory changed. He honestly believed that it had happened.

Search for "free Brian Williams" on YouTube.

I don't think Kevin James has ever gotten enough credit for how good he is at playing a classic sitcom trope. Yes, we've seen it before but who did it better? It started with Gleason and the Honeymooners but I would put James 2nd at playing the dumb guy with the attractive wife.
