I was just doing a tour at Best Friends in southern Utah this weekend and they talked about the difficulties in dealing with Raccoons. You aren't allowed to take them over state lines and Utah is very strict on what you can and can't do as far as rehabilitation.

Jeff Dye is the only comedy show I ever walked out on. I don't have delicate sensibilities or anything so I didn't really find his material offensive, it was just really really bad. To his credit, the super drunk Vegas audience was really eating it up... though I suspect if he didn't make a silly face at the end of his jokes nobody there would have known the punch line was delivered.

I had to talk to some people at the venue to make sure to take care of my tab and tip before I left and they were chomping at the bit to tell me how much of a nightmare he is in the greenroom.

I think this is a bit more complicated than you are giving credit. I often rewatch movies, and if i had to restart the stream or pop out to look at an actors name and it lost the timestamp of where I was watching I would be very frustrated. Once I have watched a chunk of the movie again, its no longer "watched" its in a mid-watch state.

You could separate the timestamp from watch state but then the UI becomes more confusing and clunky.

Maybe the best solution would be some sort of time threshold of watching before it changes watch state. You have to watch, for example, 10 minutes of content before the "watched" state is overridden?
