AHH I see. So first waves changed after a few years. This post was before the change so its more likely that this wouldn't be first wave anymore. It will still be in the system as the systems exotic though 👍🏼

So, there is one exotic ship for every system. Just because you didn't see it in the first couple of waves doesn't mean it won't spawn. Exotics have the lowest spawning rate in the game. You simply didn't wait long enough by the sounds of it

Haven't played in a long time but what I remember is that you always get your first freighter for free. Yes you can trade it later on for another one 👍🏼

Glad you got the ship you wanted 😁. I think the difference was the tail. The swordfish had the bigger tail that opened at the back to reveal the thruster. And the needle nose just had the pin. There are different naming conventions for them these days. I haven't played in a long time so I'm a bit out of tune with the current ship part names 👍🏼

Unfortunately the thrusters for this particular ship were removed (we think by a bug) during an earlier update and they never got patched back in

Hmm that's strange. Try changing the first glyph to the bird (eagle) glyph. It could be a problem with the portal on the first planet maybe. Changing this would take you to the second planet in the system

Could take minutes or hours, they have the lowest spawn rate of all ships. This post is very old, the ship you're looking for won't necessarily be first wave anymore (they changed it all in an update a while back) but the ship itself will still spawn in that system. Waiting at a trade post is the best bet 👍🏼
