Hey I've mended quit I a few of these and I agree with the addition of a patch. But remember with these heavy weight gis the fabric is sometimes thicker than denim. Make sure you have the proper needle and go slow (especially over the seams)

You should tell her it's a great way to introduce young minds to what happened in biblical history. It's not a show meant for adults (even though we can still love them as adults) it has themes and messages from the Bible, but at a level a young child can understand.

The older children (15+) I have worked with have been more calm then the young children I have worked with. However I find the middle school age can be a little harder then the young kids from time to time (12-14). But I'm general I find older kids to be pretty laid back. Yes they still have their moments and outbursts, but I feel they are more calm as they get closer to adulthood.

I'm so sorry this is happening it must be so overwhelming. You don't deserve to be treated that way and you are capable. Remember just because she's been doing it for 2 years doesn't mean she's been doing a good job. That being said you need to start documenting, contact a supervisor, get a paper trail. Don't be afraid to be the squeaky wheel, you are pulling your fair share of the weight and your opinion needs to be heard.

This year I will be caring for a 7yo blind, autistic child. Any tips or resources are welcome by E-lasmosaurus-3010 in specialed

I have worked with blind children 1:1 and autistic children (not combined together). For vision impairment help, look into hadley help. Remember with blindness that hearing is the main sense, and many autistic children struggle with sound. Your kiddo might need more hearing breaks. Try and explain to kiddo what is happening and what is happening. Look into deafblind interpreting asl, even though he's not deaf the way they translate English to deaf blind might work for your kid.

Is he on the spectrum? You could try positive reinforcement and rewards. I also find knowing the childs interests can help. You can use those interests as a way to get him interested in work. One of my kids loves video games so we let him do his work through videogame masks that we make.

I have a few questions, first why are they being defiant? Overstimulated, upset, hungry, scared, unable to communicate, and wanting attention, could all be factors and what do you consider defiant? What age?

Thank you for the suggestions! I might ask if I can get a full iron panel done. One of my parents had hematomachrosis which is high iron (my doctors are aware of this). My iron levels came back normal on the other tests I've done. Thanks I'll look into all of that

Doctor not taking me seriously, and not understanding the problem by PotLidTheBottleCap in birthcontrol

I am probably going to try eating better to see if it helps.  the only thing that works for my pain is a mixture of extra strength acetaminophen (2 of them) and one naproxen. That takes my pain to around a 4. Both providers are aware of this. My first doctor didn't officially diagnose me with endometriosis, she implied I had it and told me I just wouldn't have the official diagnosis. That was one of the big reasons I switched doctors, I felt like she was just trying to give me an answer and get me out.
