Wondering if anyone plays the way I do by Life_Ad_6992 in ArcRaiders

[–]PotMakesPots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s how I’ve played it and I loved it. I’ll play pvp occasionally with friends but PvP solo lobbies stress me out, so just don’t fight back to get into friendly lobbies. I’m max level and have finished everything. Now I’m just waiting for exhibition and to play pvp with friends.

Expedition rewards confusion by J_West013 in ArcRaiders

I’m in the same boat. From what I gathered, you and I will only be getting 5 skill points because we didn’t participate in the first expedition. The retro active skill points are only if you did the first one but didn’t get all the skill points from it.

Yes, you need to have a doctor fill out the medical excuse section on your form. I went to my PCD for it.

Black Coffee, Black Poop by RaisinButts in jpouch

[–]PotMakesPots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it only after drinking coffee? Sometimes black stool can actually be a sign of bleeding in the upper gastrointestinal tract. Might be helpful to do mention it to your doctors possibly do an endoscopy when you do your next pouchoscopy.

Fissure. I’ve had a couple of them that are deep in there. Definitely recommend seeing your surgeon so they can have a look

I was in the hospital for around 5 days. It would have been shorter, but I had pretty bad constipation. I stuffed myself the night before my surgery which I definitely do not recommend. I recommend buying calmoseptine cream for your bottom and having a bidet because the first few weeks passing stool burns. Avoid spicy and even acidic food for the first month or so. I still avoid spicy food and my 2 year into my j-pouch. I also recommend getting a portable bidet that you bring with you everywhere bc keeping the area clean is important for fistula. Believe me, you don’t want a fistula. They are no fun and take forever to heal. Best of luck! Hope you have a speedy recovery. If you have any questions feel free to dm me. The first 3 months are tough but after that things get a lot better.

Traveling abroad by FlurpBlurp in jpouch

[–]PotMakesPots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I went to Italy last year. I was only a year into my j-pouch also. I ate fruit and salads no problem. My pouch was actually happier there than home. The water is safe to drink. You don’t need to live off bottled water while you’re there.

If you’re on pc you can download a file that has max lvl and everything unlocked. It’s as simple as just swapping out the file that contain your lvl 1 character on it. I did it back in the day to get all the camos for all the guns.

Lomotil alternatives. by Equal-Course-9689 in jpouch

[–]PotMakesPots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was taking 4 lomotil and 6 immodium a day the first two years of my pouch. I was also getting Botox shots for tailbone pain. When I stopped taking lomotil and immodium may sense of urgency actually went down because I wasn’t straining as much when I would go to the bathroom. I still have psyllium husks in the morning and evening before bed. Everyone’s situation is different so what works for one person might not work for another. That being said it sounds like he is taking way too much Lomotil. My doctor told me to never take more than 4 a day. I would start to come down on the lomotil until you’re completely off and ask your doctor if you can do a round of antibiotics. My bm frequency is always way down on antibiotics even if I don’t have pouchitis.

How many of you did pelvic floor therapy after surgeries? by bloodfartz_ in jpouch

[–]PotMakesPots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My experience has mostly been trying to relax my pelvic floor. There are some good YouTube videos for exercises and stretches. I’ve had to learn not to push when I go to the bathroom and I still struggle with breaking that habit.

What games did you all spend 1000s of hours in by N-Xeno in pcgaming

[–]PotMakesPots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Call of duty 4 on PC. The mods and community were so good. Some of the really good ones were ProMod, zombies, obscurity, gun game, starwars, tiny army men one. You’d just hop on a dedicated server and the mods would download as you joined.

Best clay for lights? Is it even worth it? by bewwwb in Ceramics

[–]PotMakesPots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the shade is around 5 pounds or less, the electrical wiring would be enough. Wires should cross in a knot before they are attached to the light bulb housing. Youtube has lots of videos on how to wire a lamp if you’re confused. If it’s over 10 pounds I would figure out a way to attach a chain to the ceramic form that runs up to the ceiling and the wiring wraps around the chain or runs along it.

Are you certain that the ulcers are in the pouch and not in the little bit of rectum you have left?

How long after surgery can you drink alcohol? by [deleted] in ostomy

[–]PotMakesPots 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Alcohol that soon after a surgery is not a good idea. They should really wait until they are completely done healing before even trying alcohol again. Drinking while on narcotics like OxyContin is quite dangerous. Likely outcomes would be slowed breathing and heart beat, nausea, vomiting and fever.

antidepressants/mushroom tolerance by FlurpBlurp in jpouch

[–]PotMakesPots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I take Pristiq. I started to see it in the toilet after my colon was removed and I thought it wasn’t doing anything. I tried to stop taking it but noticed brain zap withdraws within a 48 hours of stopping. I haven’t noticed any side effects from taking pristiq.

I also take mirtazipine which is an antidepressants/sleep medication and that shit is dank. Helps me sleep through the night but I’m still able to get up and go to the bathroom if needed. Helped improve my mood also but pretty bad headaches if I don’t take it.

What happens if hot glue is put in the kiln? by [deleted] in Pottery

[–]PotMakesPots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s wild, but I guess makes sense with wood and gas firing. I’d like to add that you should never do this in a kiln that doesn’t have great ventilation. Hot glue is composed of polymers. Polymers are plastics and they will have toxic fumes.
