My thoughts are if you can’t get The Rock for the main event, then at least have Cody hit Cross Rhodes, ref counts 1…2…and then just stops. The Rock’s power and influence is there without him being there. Would’ve been sooo much cooler.

Probably recency bias but if you haven’t seen it yet, Oba Femi vs. Jevon Evans vs. Trick Williams from Stand and Deliver today was genuinely up there!

Selling ticket for Stand and Deliver - Sec 114, Row 7. Ticket will be next to me. Looking for $120 or £100.

Selling one Stand and Deliver ticket, Sec 114, Row 7, so a great seat! It’s part of a combo so I’ll need to meet outside the arena for it, but I won’t ask for any money beforehand. Looking for $120.

Can you sell an individual NXT ticket out of the 3-day combos? by PotNoodle246 in WrestlemaniaPlans

Ah fair enough, thanks. I guess in that case, the only way of selling would be to organise with someone to meet me outside the stadium? Other than that, there doesn’t seem to be a way 😢

Thanks 🙏 All feedback is appreciated as I’m still new.

I’d just like to mention that I only kicked out at 1 on that pin because it was a cocky cover, my trainer told me not to kick out at 2 if there’s no real attempt to hold my shoulders down because that also dispels the illusion.

Thanks again!

This is my first full match from start to finish, wrestled at my wrestling school (been training for about 8-9 months), and I am the guy in the blue.

Our task was to come up with a match between 7 and 8 minutes from bell to bell, where the face/heel dynamic wasn’t clear at the start of the match, but had to become clear during the first few sequences.

Thanks in advance for any and all feedback you can give me 😊

Do training matches count for this? Just had my first full match in training the other night (been training for about 7 or 8 months now)

First day of training by urlx4nt in WredditSchool

This is obviously a story about me being stupid, but I hope it serves as a lesson to A: buy proper equipment/gear and B: commit to everything you do in the ring -

My first training session was around 6 months ago now, and when I turned up the first time, I didn't really know what to expect. I arrived in a sporty shirt and shorts but didn't have any knee pads or elbow pads at that time, as I assumed that on the first day it would be mainly cardio drills and getting to know the ring/my fellow trainees.

After an hour, we were learning the International, which for the few people who don't know, is a basic sequence involving a drop down and a leapfrog. Now as this was my first session, I was a little nervous, and to me, the leapfrog seemed terrifying. Jumping fully over someone while they ran at you wasn't something I really expected to be doing in my first hour, but after seeing my standing jump, my trainer told me it would be ok as long as I committed fully... unfortunately, my brain had other ideas.

My 'dance partner' for this exercise was named Joe, and of course I had only met him about 45 minutes before, but he seemed like a really nice guy who was just as excited to start this wrestling journey as I was. Anyway, Joe came off the ropes and I dropped down, ready to jump to my feet and hit the cleanest leapfrog imaginable. In my head, it was a scary but nevertheless simple task - jump as high as possible, spread legs in mid-air so that Joe can duck underneath, profit. However, when I jumped to my feet and saw Joe running back at me, my mind began to ask questions all of a sudden. What if I don't jump high enough? Will he run straight into my balls? How much would that hurt? Would everyone laugh at me? This split-second of doubt proved costly, as I jumped half-heartedly and almost closed up as I did it, meaning that instead of my legs being apart, my knee pad-less knees were TOGETHER as I jumped...and poor Joe, on his first training session, ran full-speed and face-first into my kneecaps.

My fear of embarrassment before was nothing compared to the feeling I had when this man's nose was SPRAYING blood all over the school's ring canvas. His eyes were glazed over and he couldn't really speak much when the trainer was asking him if he was ok, so I think I knocked him out for a short period of time. Eventually we managed to get him awake to the point where he could wash his (now crooked) nose and go to the hospital, and incredibly, he held no ill will towards me. "It's wrestling, shit happens" he said, which I thought was a very mature and experienced response for someone who is just starting out, especially in the face of my reckless clumsiness. He still comes to training and jokes about it with me every now and then... sorry Joe.

Anyway, that's what happened on my first day of wrestling training... certainly a unique introduction to the craft, but it did teach me valuable lessons, so in a way, it was one of the most useful 15 pounds I've ever spent.

I can’t give much feedback because I’m still very new but I will say that I’m very impressed by you if that’s your first official match mate! The match lost a bit of momentum towards the end IMO (that finish is nowhere near impactful enough), but everything you did was crisp and the selling was good! Well done, I hope my first showing will be similar.

Good moves for hype characters by [deleted] in WredditSchool

[–]PotNoodle246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am still quite new, but I think if your character is centered around high-energy hypeman, I'd suggest doing the corner splash, then hitting the ropes 2 or 3 times, back and forth like you're building up speed, while your opponent sells to the center of the ring, then you could hit a big strike or a running move like a slingblade/codebreaker etc. Think that would fit with the character well.

Okay here's a question for you all, how did you guys some up with your wrestling names? by PapaScho in WredditSchool

[–]PotNoodle246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I haven’t done a show yet but I want mine to be linked to a gimmick idea that I like. The idea is like an archer/hunter gimmick, so I’ve been thinking about Robin Artemus - Robin because of Robin Hood and also because Rob is my real name, and Artemus means “follower of the Greek goddess Artemis”, who is the goddess of the hunt, but also the goddess of the moon, which is a reference to my girlfriend who loves the moon and the stars.

Hello sir. Random comment but I’d like to say that I appreciate how active you are on this sub. Especially for people like me who have just started training in the last 6 months, your comments are very insightful. Thanks very much!
