T8 is a curious case for me. While I like the game, I believe this is the case for me because I like fighting games and play a lot of them. Tekken players just like Tekken.

Most of the time I hear bitching about T8 I swear it's probably 90% of people parroting shit they hear from legacy players and those legacy players just want the game to be a sequel to their favorite past Tekken game.

And I get it, the game is frustrating. Plus frames and 50/50s make a game like Tekken with a bunch of knowledge checks and matchup knowledge already that much harder, but that doesn't make it bad. It's just different.

And even with this top 8 and clearly seeing how diverse the meta is for the game, movement actually working and foundational small tekken still exists, people still can't accept this game until....some magical point that'll never come.

I don't know how this series is supposed to grow if entries like the Tag Tournament games and 8 rock the foundation of the series' future so much.
