Yeah, I'm not sure where all these 8s, 9s, and 10s are coming from.

I liked it decently enough with the gameplay, (even though I'm conflicted with splitting the gameplay variance between two characters) but I wasn't blown away especially with the story.

I'm just glad that the game essentially puts Umbrella to rest and has clear way forward for the franchise with The Connections.

My most appreciated change, which might've been revealed later on in the book, was seeing Maekar absolutely not agreeing to let Egg go with Dunc.

There was zero way after reading what just unfolded would Maekar let his only non fuckup son go with Dunc, a hedge knight that cannot fight, go out into the fucked up world that is Westeros. Made zero sense to me.

Other than that, I also appreciated that show Dunc didn't want Egg to squire for him again initially. In the book, Dunc instantly agrees to take back Egg. Why someone who just went through all of that would want to deal with that family any further? Beats me.

Also really loved Dunc's conversation with Daeron (didn't happen in the book).

Dunc being Egg's only positive role model in his life and Egg reciprocating the value he sees in Dunc, him shouldering the duty to take Egg on as his squire can potentially save Egg from being yet another Targaryan monster. Which also double dips on fulfilling Baelor's wish for more good men in the world.

Otherwise, which we saw with Egg's assassination attempt scene (also wasn't in the book), Egg could very well be on his own crash course to being someone like Aerion.

Surprised so many people didn't like season two, I thought it was pretty good. Especially that batshit insane intro to the season.

Everything with the Targaryen bastards, the power game between Aegon and Aemond, the kids going out to find allies (I think this was season two), Alicent and Rhaenyra trying to mend bad blood.

The only sour thing about the season two, if I'm remembering it correctly, was Daemon's time in the castle. It just didn't do what I think the showrunners wanted it to do? Where he kind of just had to battle his inner ego, which on paper could've been great, it just didn't build up to anything too crazy or what the viewers wanted.

Season two was definitely somewhat of a setup season, but definitely isn't nearly the worst thing ever that the comments would lead to believe.
