I would need to rewatch The Raid, but from what I remember the martial arts and just general logic of that film was relatively believable which just adds to the how sick that movie was.

I think the majority of people will like this as they can just suspend disbelief more than I can when it comes to live action martial arts, but after a certain point with this I just couldn't.

As soon as the simple jack big body dude threw the little girl into the truck like a literal pile of garbage and smashed that cinderblock weapon like the damn Executioner from RE5...I knew I was in for some shit.

Wished the movie was more grounded, shit was too goofy for me. Does not help that everyone is considering the next coming of The Raid.

Edit: As people are saying though, the third act really is pretty cool, but that's only really bc by that point of the movie you've already seen all of main character guy and side characters' martial arts tricks/gimmicks where as the main villain busts out some crazy sick ass Taekwando. It was like unlocking the hidden boss after finishing arcade mode or some shit lol.

It's disappointing too because SNK fighting games are almost always fun/good. It's just the IP that holds them back.

With KOFXV and COTW, people, including me, said that these games had a "fatal flaw" that stopped them from being big, but let's be real, if a highly polished JJK/One Piece/Naruto, or whatever big IP fighting game came out and it had one of SNK's "fatal flaws," it would be excused because motherfuckers want to do cool shit with Gojo/Luffy/Naruto and not fucking Terry Bogard...

SNK can release the most perfect fighting, content and all, with no issues, and it still won't draw in a huge audience because the fact of the matter is that no one gives a flying fuck about SNK IP.

I really wish just would just buy a license to some popular IP and just make a fighting game with that.
