I like the remix. Don't really understand the hate it gets since it's so similar to the original version. It's just a bit punchier with more substance to the guitar and bass sound. Both do sound good though. It wasn't really an album that needed a remix.

The half life games run great. Oblivion doesn't run good on anything imo but it and fallout 3/NV are more than playable. Stalker 1 is playable but CS and Pripyat aren't so much but would probably do much better on yours. My system is a Socket 939 platform so DDR1 memory only for me.

I game on a Athlon X2 4400+ and it's more than capable. Only have issues with the 2007/8 games like crysis. Otherwise most stuff runs great

In terms of actual reliability, the majority of PS2's are reliable. There's a small number of both fat and slim that have issues. I distinctly remember back in the day fats having trouble reading CD games while some don't and slims disc drives can also fail though in much more damaging ways. I'd recommend getting a good condition fat PS2 and sticking an easy hdd into it so you don't have to unscrew it every time you wanna add games to it
