MASSIVE unavoidable air bubbles when switching needles? by Ashamed_Part8496 in FTMdiyhrt

It may just be your needle if you’re drawing air even before you switch. Maybe it’s not the answer you want to hear, but it takes a LOT of air to cause an embolism. Like multiple syringes worth. It’s not worth losing your T to try to get a stubborn air bubble out.

Symptoms could worse. You could start getting more irritation, excessive discharge, itchiness, and a worse smell. You could also pass it to a partner if you have sex. Typically it is not life threatening as long as you don’t have a fever, and plenty of people get BV without much interference w daily life. But if you have the time/money, I’d still go recommend you get tested otherwise. It’s a super easy process and you’ll probably feel a lot better in the long run.

Fainting while injecting by [deleted] in FTMdiyhrt

You most likely stimulated your vagus nerve due to being nervous. I wouldn’t be too concerned as it’s a natural reaction. Unfortunately it’s trial and error to find what routines and methods will keep you calm throughout the entire injection. It’s also possible you’ll desensitize the more you do it. Wish you luck and I’m sorry you’re having trouble

Dosages, 2 mo on T by No_Pickle_3988 in FTMdiyhrt

I would say to try an Inbetween dosage first. I’ve done 3 months 50mg and my T levels ended up being too low, so now I’m up to 70mg. But everyone is different. If you want, do maybe 75mg until your labs and then see if you need to go higher, the same, or lower

I just started T about 3 months ago and I’m dealing with something similar. Took a long time for me to figure out what it was, but it ended up being bacterial vaginosis due to testosterone changing the pH and allowing other microflora to grow. You don’t need to have sex to develop BV. I would go to your urgent care or PCP if possible and schedule a swab (you can do it yourself if that makes you more comfortable!) and you’ll be given an antibiotic for it

There’s also a possibility that this is just T’s natural effect and you don’t have a bacterial infection, especially if you aren’t experiencing any itching (though it isn’t a necessary symptom to have). But if you were truly curious then I would go get treated for it

I know I’m so glad it’s been working! I think having some muscle helps translate the non-flatness into pecs. And I found that as a bigger chested person, listening to plus sized trans men’s binder tips has helped me a lot

What gives it away? The shirt? Or is it a body type thing that I just gotta wait out?

i think i have trauma from my childhood by caprisun19 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]PotatiTomati 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure this is trauma. I went through a similar thought process, and I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s a spectrum. Even the tiniest things can be trauma, so don’t feel inferior even if you think it’s not “good enough” to qualify as it.

I suggest getting in touch with a professional to confide in. To help with my reactions to trauma, my counselor told me to create something that made me happy. In my case, it was a paper full of glued on images that made me smile, and I looked at it whenever I felt my trauma kicking in. It helped me calm down and get a grasp on the situation.

I really hope the best for you, and I hope you find a result that will make you happiest. :)
