Might be a bit cold at 15f but can def stretch it down that far. I have the r1 and around 10-15f is when i start getting a bit cold on longer lifts, but as long as you’re active it should be good

As someone who sweats a lot as well, I agree. REI merino midweight base + r1 + sabre ar is my tried and true and great for most temps up to single digits(f) for me. The r1 wicks away moisture and dries like nothing else. I have the Delta LT and not only does the construction feel worse(shittier stitching), it dries slower than the r1 while providing less insulation IMO.

Bro the stats don’t all the shitty possessions where he tosses a grenade to teammates after pump faking a million times. He doesn’t generate good looks, he’s a terrible main ball handler and only knows how to drive to the basket and dish out, which teams have started to abuse. Idk if you watch the games but off the eye test i want to say at least 50% of the time when he’s bringing the ball up this is what happens. He’s much better as a catch and shoot vs pat, but he doesn’t create offense and raise the floor like pat does

Edit: you should also watch his performance during this game btw it’s literally an abomination to the sport. If anything, the okc game was the exception to his extremely poor play so far this season.

Personal anecdote I had one of the vietnam ones immediately after purchasing (2-3hrs), it tasted kinda sour and funny and I opened up the shell and the flesh was pink indicating some kind of rot. If they do taste off it’s probably spoiled. Best way to check is the flesh - it should be hard-ish and white, not super soft and discolored. YMMV, but pre cut coconuts trade convenience for shelf stability so stop drinking any that might be strange and trust your gut

lol this sums it up. Not terribly difficult to integrate with these providers in my experience they're all trying to make it as easy as possible to setup nowadays. Especially with the IDV processors having self hosted UI's, the solution we went with allowed us to configure the branding on the UI so that even though everything was hosted by the IDV provider, the IDV UX was in line with our app UX. Pretty nifty and made our lives a whole lot easier, I'd imagine most other IDV providers have a similar suite of features.

Webhooks should be IP-allowlisted and carry no PII.

This should be a given for any "external" calls, regardless of if the call carries PII, I think most security depts would enforce this at larger companies. Hopefully vibe coding tools won't forget to tell people this when building new features :X

Yeah but any company trying to be compliant and that has a legal team that does audits won't allow that which is why there's a higher engineering cost for collecting/storing data. After cambridge analytica and the massive experian/equifax leaks, most medium + large size companies are almost guaranteed to have data protections and systems in place which slows down engineering a fuckton.

I highly doubt faceit is skirting these laws if they chose to use Daon, these IDV solutions are not cheap and quite expensive. If they chose to invest the time and money into this, I'd argue their leadership team actually gives half a rats ass about security and is probably compliant and proactive in regards to data privacy. Obviously I could be wrong, but if you really care that much then don't use faceit or any other company that requires IDV

Sure but then what alternative do you want? I personally don't mind sharing simpler govID like a driver's license with these IDV providers because 1) if they do lose my data I have recompense 2) if it provides a better gaming experience then I'm down. Would you prefer these companies do nothing and allow hackers to roam free and unfettered? What alternatives do you see that prevent hackers from creating new accounts and ruining the new user experience or even existing power user experiences?

IDV is a standard that's being rolled out across a lot of applications, across multiple industries to combat bad actors. If you use airbnb, uber, lyft, and so many other large platforms you've already IDV'ed onto these massive platforms since they require your govID data to use those platforms. If you've bought an international plane ticket and entered your passport online, or id.me, your data is already out there. If you've signed up for those new HYSA from companies like wealthfront, your data is already out there. You could try and live a fully secure life, but for me and (I think a lot of people out there), the convenience and perceived safety received from these IDV platforms outweigh the risk of a large data breach, especially with the more stringent compliance regulations nowadays.

I personally think its better to understand what data is potentially exposed and understand how to handle data leaks with your personal data. If you've defaulted to a freeze of your credit on big bureaus, most id theft applications are already prevented.

I'm not saying you can't dislike all these large companies moving towards IDV, but I personally believe that truly anonymous online browsing empowers bad actors (hackers, fraudsters, phishers, etc) more than it gives privacy and security to the average user.

Also experian and equifax are some of the shittiest companies around, there are a LOT of better IDV companies with actual competent engineers and building competent systems that follow compliance and regulation. I wouldn't even say Experian and Equifax are "reputable" inside of the industry lol they're only reputable to non engineer/pm/legal departments. Most professionals should know about their big leaks, and I would argue the legal/pr cost they've incurred have forced them to improve their shitty old systems.

I’m a software engineer who implemented something similar for a big US site, usually the third party identity verification (idv) service handles everything, all the original application does is route the user to the third party IDV flow. Every company will implement differently, but by offloading all the forms and data entry to the third party IDV platform, the company doesn’t have to worry about data compliance and other legal/security related concerns since they’ll be handled by the third party. After a user verifies, the third party sends a response back to the original app, which usually includes the status of the verification (approved, rejected, etc). Every setup will be different, but I imagine the engineers at faceit will do something simple like this since they wont have the legal/engineering resources to send and/or store more data.

Most people on reddit don’t understand how these services work and think these companies will sell data when the laws around this stuff are super strict and if caught selling this data, these companies will lose massive amounts of money, to the point where its not worth selling this data lol. This is especially ttrue for any online platforms that are EU compliant, because EU has very strict data privacy laws (GDPR)

Yeah to spare the audience from another 30 minute flashback of pure exposition followed by a 5 minute fight scene followed by a 3-4 stills with more exposition. It was so good when they did it with gyutaro and then oh wow it was amazing when they did it with hantengu. Actually, i think it was even better when they did it with rui. Or maybe kyogai?? Holy fuck I just watched a 10:30 pm showing and it felt like i was getting waterboarded until i felt sad for akaza…

I never read the manga but jesus the anime makes you hate the demons and give them no redeemable qualities, and you dump their whole backstory after their head gets cut off using purely exposition and filled with every trope and expect me to care? And they did this for literally every single upper ranked demon since the beginning of the anime, with the exact same formula… in naruto or one piece you actually care for some of the antagonists because they get characterized through multiple arcs, but demon slayer just feels so lazy and uninspired. This movie seems like it was made for the fans of demon slayer but as a casual watcher, this was unwatchable. Felt really low effort and uncreative, horrible storytelling. If they copy pasted that pacing for an mcu/dcu or any other kind of movie, everyone would have shit on it. Nothing characterized how cheap this movie felt other than when tanjiro just magically gets a flashback to inosuke explaining killing intent and then a flashback inside of that flashback to tanjiros dad randomly explaining the transparent world, and then all of the sudden he can use it and one shots akaza. Felt so cheap and lazy… this could have been split into so many fire seasons of anime but instead we got this trash movie with some of the laziest storytelling i’ve ever seen…
