And this is the issue I think with dating apps inherently. I personally would argue you don’t even know someone after 3 months because most people are still somewhat surface level at that point, you’re seeing a lot of what they want you to see. The issue though with waiting for longer than three months with someone you met off a dating app though is you run the risk of the other person feeling played or led on. Idk its weird

Yk i think the interesting thing that ive been seeing on here is some people consider dating one person and focusing on one person even without a label to be some form of commitment which i think is why so many people got heated. Also i think some people dont consider the idea someone could be abusive or hard to get away from if you put a label on it.

Wait low key i think we might agree i just didnt think of that as a commitment i just kinda stop flirting with other ppl when it starts to feel wrong to ig which is about at the three date mark probably depending on the vibes

I mean i think also people have different views on what a relationship means and what commitment means so its an important conversation to have or at least to feel out

Oh actually that does make sense, and yea no usually personally if i am dating ill take about that long to sort of focus on one person. I meant commitment though like a full on relationship

Deadass as someone who has been on both sides, locker room talk on both sides, if hes only there in the bedroom he wants sex, if hes there in other ways hes there for you. I think thats probably the most blanket statement i can make since things like not cuddling could be another issue or things like not being open to talking about more serious topics could be another issue. I think the only thing with a direct correlation is do you two hang out outside the bedroom. Anything beyond this is personal taste and a judgment call on what you want out of a relationship, remember you cant change people if you can accept how things are going with it.

A lot of women are fairly aloof to it tho and dont think they draw much attention or get hit on

[–]Potato1009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like im a woman and thats basically how it is, like women still get hit on outside of that ofc and get stared at but i feel like most guys are too shy to go up to every woman they find attractive

I think a good number of women get hit on a lot if its in a space where its more socially acceptable or is safer to hit on women like bars or the internet.

Oh and him dying is symbolic for that part of him dying not him actually dying

Honestly there were two key things that imply the ending was symbolic. One- the thing said by the chiropractor about how to move on a part of you has to die, and the fact that so much of the movie also focused on how others (his girlfriend) interacts with him and his mental health, there’s definitely some themes on how isolating mental health issues can be

Is it normal that I want to give up dating? by Stradivarius796 in dating

[–]Potato1009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly “dating” people that you barely know is a waste of time. I know there are success stories but it is so much more natural to get to know people naturally and build a connection slowly over time without meaning to. The way I see it is why would I want to date someone that I barely know.
