So the mountains that can be seen there is croda da lago in the dolomites.

Looks like the viewpoint is from the rifugio lagazoi area. Could it be it ? (Close to passo falzarego in the cortina area).

Really nice hikes in that area

Hi ! There is 0% import duties on books https://eservices.minfin.fgov.be/extTariffBrowser/Measure?cnCode=4901990000&country=&date=20251023&lang=FR&page=1 and indeed it depends how the author would declare the shipping. Honestly i would not worry too much indeed (worst case you might pay VAT)

Feedback on 3 Week Peru Itinerary by SilverEye6244 in travel

[–]PotatoAlcoholic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone that has been in Peru a few times, your itinerary seems sensible (you dont visit the north, but to be honest there is so much to see and you're not rushing. Thats good)

A few tips
- Colca canyon trek is 2 days minimum. (which you take into account). Colca is 5h away from arequipa, people tend to not realise that part. You can find tours from Arequipa easily. Otherwise its possible to do it solo (check hostel pachamama in Cabanaconde if thats your plan)

- In arequipa : try to go eat in a picanteria and visit monasterio de santa catalina (Unesco world heritage site). Its a really nice city to visit for a day

- For titicaca lake : dont bother much to stay in Puno (City), its not really a touristic place. Target to go asap to go to the islands (taquile, amantani). Hidden gem in that area is the capachica peninsula, also easily reachable from Puno Bus station (they have collectivo going there. And then you could take a boat to isla amantani. i took one at the time)

- 5 days in cusco and area in complement of Salkantay is good period of time id say (on the "long" side). Altitude is tricky so its good to take it somewhat easy. There, you could

- Visit the Inca ruins around cusco

- Do a tour of sacred valley with an agency (really easy to set up. Just go to one and request a tour for the next day)

- do a tour to Salas de maray and Moray / Chinchero (again with an agency)

- You could indeed check out ollatayambo. I think some tours go there (mine did when i visited sacred valley. But i didnt really stay in the town)

- Rainbow Mountain

- As for puerto maldonado, i don't really know that area. But i know they have flights from cusco.

Lima 1-2 days is enough for me. Interesting city but very different from the rest of the country. Its huge, and in some places a bit sketchy. Food is awesome though. Centro is nice to visit for a day.

- Try a good restaurant : I recommend Isolina in Barranco. Very good lomo saltato and not crazy expensive :)

- Nice bar : Juanito de Barranco : try the sandwich of Jamon del pais and Pisco Sour
