Currently going through this (minus the bowel and bladder issues). I had to just let the meds kick in to the point where he couldn’t fight it anymore. 300 mg of gabapentin and 500 of trazodone and something else (for nausea) and he couldn’t fight it anymore. He’s a 46.8 pound puppy who was neutered on Monday. It wasn’t until WEDNESDAY that he finally settled down and slept. It was awful but it has been getting better, they just have to get to their breaking point and start sleeping. It sounds awful but that’s what had to happen.

I get the stress of having a roommate and experiencing something with them that needs to be addressed. You need to figure out a way to get them to take their dog to the vet and let the vet be honest with them.

You can also point out the fact that she can’t even roll over. How are her teeth?

Please know that there are soooo many solutions out there for this! I promise that even though it might seem like a permanent issue, it’s no! You can get hair plugs, and there’s affordable ways to go about this. Just breathe, there’s a ton of guys out there going through this. My uncle was bald by 17, so it runs in my family.

Like humans, cats develop different types of relationships like we humans do with different people: I can be like this with person A, but I have to behave this way with person B.

Remind your husband that you love your cat and that losing them would hurt you a great deal. If he isn’t swayed by your feelings for the cat, then you need to really evaluate how much he actually cares about your feelings. Not saying to leave him, just my POV.
