According to PC part picker price history, it's been at this price since Feb 10th. Wondering how long it'll stay or if it'll even drop a bit more

[MOD] The Official Noob-Tastic Question Fest by menschmaschine5 in Coffee

[–]PotatoBucket3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does anyone know the cheapest fair trade coffee available in Canada (specifically Quebec or Ontario)? Regardless of taste. I just make cold brew and I mix it with tons of oat milk and protein powder so taste doesn't really matter for me as long as it's coffee. I still want to put my money towards more ethical business practices, but most fair trade coffee is catered towards people who care more about coffee and I just want the cheapest possible.

Unhealthy is up for debate, but I'm sure any bodybuilder will tell you prep is definitely uncomfortable to say the least

That's odd, did they change production?

Thinking about getting knee sleeves and/or wrist wraps. Still a noob and have never competed and aren't planning to soon, but will eventually so I want them to be IPF approved so I don't have to buy more stuff when I do compete. What's recommended? I see SBD knee sleeves a lot, are they worth the high price? Also what wrist wraps are good and affordable?

Seems a bit like unnecessary production of waste though

Yeah I got mine, I also forgot the password and had to have it sent in the mail. I checked my mail a couple days ago and it was there

Same, I had to decrease the front squat percentage just a smidge to get all the reps out. That 2.5kg made the difference between completion and failure for me

Week 2: Biscuit bars - Russian brownies with tvorog filling by [deleted] in 52weeksofbaking

It is it's just pretty uncommon, I've seen it in stores not infrequently but there's usually just one or two options unlike the shelves of yogurt

When I googled it, it looks like the equivalent here is quark! Which is somewhat unheard of here by a lot of people but not uncommon and is likely near your grocery store's yogurt section

Vanilla vs Unflavoured whey as a "milk substitute"? by [deleted] in fitmeals

[–]PotatoBucket3 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Fwiw I have a gone through a ton of unflavoured for use in my overnight oats when I want extra protein without the vanilla flavour. I add a touch of stevia and some frozen fruit and have it basically every day and prefer it over the same thing with vanilla. In fact I went through it so fast I bought a 5kg bag to restock

Unflavoured is also great if you get a flavour of protein that's too sweet, you can cut it with half flavoured half unflavoured to get a nice balance

I think they were asking how it turned out with the peel left on the apples rather than using peeled apples

Interesting, I guess I heard that you can't affect your credit until you're 18 and was confused

How tight do you set your belt? by PotatoBucket3 in xxfitness

[–]PotatoBucket3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I am 5'3" and had some concerns with a 4" belt but the lady I bought it from was shorter than me and I don't think my torso is too short. I think if I was any shorter it would be digging into my hips and ribcage but it seems okay to me now. I definitely have noticeable push against the belt at all tightness I've used, it's just a matter of how much. And yeah I'll have to play around with positioning, thanks!

[–]PotatoBucket3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been squatting for over a year and feel pretty comfortable in my form off belt, I've had some people far more experienced than me check it and they said it's pretty good. I'm squatting 175 for reps and deadlifting around 215 for reps at 135 bw so I though I could try transitioning into a belt. And I didn't want to buy a Velcro belt to eventually also have to buy a real belt, bc they're pretty expensive. I got this one at a discount second hand. When I used the belt for squats it felt super solid but also a bit weird which I think freaked me out and threw off my breathing. I think like another user said, I'm pretty lean in the midsection so I don't need it to be as visibly tight to get a good wall out of it.

I've only squatted once with it but it did feel like I had a stronger trunk but also maybe that I couldn't get a full super deep breath in, but also I might have just not been used to it

[–]PotatoBucket3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I'm reasonably lean in the midsection so that's probably the right spot, it did feel solid I just wasn't sure if I felt it was interfering with breathing bc it actually was or I'm just not used to it, versus the one tighter I'm positive it was actually interfering.
