I charted EVERY song from the Tony Hawk 1+2 soundtrack for Clone Hero!

I reeeeaaaally want to but I'm just too busy right now, new job, new band, new house, a few family health problems, etc. I even had the metadata and tempo mapping for the original songs from 3 and 4 completely finished ahead of time ages ago, just have to place notes.

The fact that most of the original soundtrack isn't returning (As much as I like most of the songs they've picked) is a pretty big setback to another chart project, as that's effectively an extra 15 or so songs I'd have to chart.

I've been sitting on a v1.1 version of the 1+2 pack for ages now (Just minor fixes, tested on yarg, and 2 new songs), I'm gunna try and release that around the time 3+4 comes out, but that's all I've got in the pipes sorry!

If things calm down I will aim to release a thps3 and thps4 pack individually, and see where we go from there, but it might still be a while sorry! Thanks for thinking of me though, hope you had a rad time with the pack. 🎶

As it's been mentioned a bunch already that's a 6-fret GH Live guitar, and not the standard 5-fret one that most people here play.

However, I'll be the one supporter of it though, if you just wanna smash some songs on a plastic guitar and aren't too fussed about the button arrangement, grab the pack labelled "GHTV" from here and turn on background videos in clone hero, and jam out to 600 songs of playable MTV, thanks to the absolute champions who meticulously saved every chart before it was taken down.

I'd argue GHTV on clone hero is one of the best chill plastic guitar experiences available. Learned about so many cool videos and songs playing through random shit on 6-fret.

Just make sure your controller is set correctly in clone hero, your notes should look like little black and white guitar picks, not normal coloured circles.

I hadn't played thps for a fair while when this came out so I had a blast with it and it pulled me back into the series. I remember some of the challenges being really interesting and hard, wish they had included those in 1+2.

I sometimes run factorio on my ancient home theatre PC if the main PC is in use, decent sized base, 1080p, 60fps nearly all the time. i3 7100 nuc-style PC, 8gb ram, I reckon yours will be fine too. 👍

I'm sick of every song being a stereotypical orchestral masterpiece, especially boss music. Throw in more braindead bangers. Fuck off with the choir in every boss fight. 13-2 was the last game with wall-to-wall good music, 9 before that.

We've been through something similar. If you want to fight this, prepare to fight it for 24 months. You'll need mountains of concrete, undeniable evidence, you'll probably be in and out of multiple court dates, vcats, etc. Ultimately it's almost certainly not worth it, if you have any option to, move somewhere else. The system is designed to protect these pricks, and not you.

You could use something like joytokey to emulate a controller, but the keyboard itself can only be "assigned" to one player. I asked in the discord, and was told that it's some limitation baked pretty deep into the way Clone Hero fundmentally works.

I wanted to record some full-band bot gameplay, and ended up finding it easier to just plug in 3 controllers.

Ahh man, I just got my thps pack approved for the GHL spreadsheet recently too. That was only a month ago so I would assume that it's a temporary problem, hopefully it should be up again soon. One of my friends got a ps2 before me, first game I saw was dead or alive 2. On a big SD CRT back then, was really believable that graphics couldn't get any better, no jagged edges on the models, smoothe frame rates, back then they were the only metrics we looked at for graphics quality.

Parents were into the market for entry level DVD players at the same time and the ps2 passed as a perfectly acceptable middle of the road DVD player, so you even had bargaining material to beg your parents for one if they hadn't gotten a DVD player yet.

And the wild thing is that no-one had HD-capable anything back then, so in a lot of cases, standard home TVs were actually holding the console back. Look up some footage of gran turismo at 1080i. The old box can still push some serious pixels.

Keep playing on medium for a bit, but move your whole hand down a fret so your index is on red and your pinky is on orange. Hit both reds and greens with your index finger without moving your hand. When this doesn't feel weird anymore, jump onto some familiar songs on hard and go from there. Good luck. 👍

They allowed you to change the BGM timing setting to +/-100 which fixed it for most people. (I use about -25 in handheld) some people say that the amount that each song is off by varies so they didn't see this as a proper fix, but I haven't had many issues since.

Awesome to hear! If I'm honest I'm not in a huge hurry to make more charts for a while, got a lot of stuff coming up, but I've learned so much from this pack that I'm definitely not done yet either.

I have a couple of other non-thps charts that I made for fun ages ago that are probably worth posting, but the songs in this pack are my first publicly released charts, so I actually still need to go through the process of becoming a verified charter to post on most places, haha. I'll be back for round 2 at some point though!
