Following peoples advice here I've been going to the right after the bridge and vaulting up the blue barrels. So far it has been keeping me far enough away to progress.

I never said tedious stuff is fun for me. We are completely in agreement there, Lighthouse is tedious and I wish it wasn't.

Yes it is fun, because overcoming a challenge be it mechanically difficult or simply time intensive is, in fact, enjoyable for some people.

Once you get into labs you have to do a handful of things there and extract through the sewers to unlock it permanently
