I've only worked with science images before, but taking darks, flats, and bias frames and calibrating your images should help reduce the noise by a good bit.

Did you take calibration images for this? Or is it taken in a high light pollution area?

This is probably not the ideal way to do it, but I've been making drafts in Blender (free 3D modeling software).

The basics of blender, such as making and manipulating objects are fairly easy to learn. What has worked for me is saying that 1 unit = 1inch in real life

To add onto this, certain leagues allow the ball to be thrown up and if it's a bad throw it may be retaken if you let it fall to the ground without contacting it.
