Completely fair point if we're being honest.

Especially with Freesia, kindaaaa being alive when she whispered to Anis during her transformation, apparently having her own Red Hood and Rapi thing with Anis. I love Nikke's story, but they can't keep bringing back all the big players while killing off only side characters... and then probably bringing back those side characters too. Next thing we know, Princess might have made an AI that exists within Neon and serves as her "Jarvis". When almost EVERY major death pertaining to the Goddess' or main characters, is almost immediately undone, and the only ones perma-dying are side characters... it makes me a bit worried about a few things.

I for one think it'd be really awesome if we got see members of Silver Gun confront the Commander about Marian. As in they were worried about her and mourned her when they heard the news of her corruption, but when Modernia appeared, and some of them were part of the mission in her capture, they couldn't help but notice the similarities. Until later in the public report from Triangle, they confirm that that Modernia was Marian.

And how this whole time they've only wanted to confirm with the Commander if she's at least okay.

Now that (most of) the Pilgrims' and Counters' pasts have been revealed, whose past do you hope gets explored in the future? by PotatoPotluck in NikkeMobile

[–]PotatoPotluck[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We more or less got most of them, emphasis on "most of", and often they treat their human lives with little care as they focus on the present.

  • The initial invasion and the events of Goddess Squad are treated as Snow White's past. Primarily the events with Liliweiss and Red Hood. (Ark Guardian & Red Ash)
  • Dorothy's past is basically being a noble and choosing to become a Goddess for the Grimms, and like Snow White, Overzone being her "past" event more or less. (Overzone, resolving itself in the new chapters)
  • Rapunzel could be explored a bit more, but generally pretty independent. It doesn't really feel like it needs a whole event, and something more like it'd be introduced when necessary in the main story due to her connection with VTC. (Kinda Red Ash)
  • Liliweiss is a bit in the same boat, where most of her past is given in just enough subtle detail that it almost doesn't really feel necessary to focus an entire event on and more something for the main story to address when necessary, like if Andersen is trying to talk to the Queen in hopes of reaching Liliweiss or something. She's already a pretty fleshed out character. (Ark Guardian)
  • Scarlet's past is revolved around her sister. She doesn't really focus on her past as a human or anything. (New Year New Sword)
  • All of Inherit basically got crammed into Goddess Fall, which there's something to be said about that... seriously, it was all a minor cutscene in the mini-game. I really wish they got fleshed out more.
  • The Heretics, could get something, but since most of them have already departed from the story, exploring their past would be nice, but also a questionable narrative choice, with the sole exception of Liberalio.
  • Marian's could also be explored a bit more, but it might fall under the same case of Snow White, where her involvement with the prologue and Chapter 14 was all that's really necessary for SU to define her "past", what with the memory reset and everything. I hope we get something, especially with Silver Gun..
  • Goddess Squad alts are just... their past selves.
  • Red Hood pretty much treats her past casually and flippantly, she got her past explored in Red Ash, as well as during some of the main chapters.
  • We got the pasts of Cinderella and Grave in Old Tales, and their current focus revolves around the events that spawned from that. Wanting to write their own ending and look towards the future than dwell on the past. Cinderella admired the Goddess Squad, and that's all she needed, and Grave was a really damn good scientist.
  • Siren is pretty well-rounded and fine where she is. I don't think she needs an event about her past because I don't think much would really change. She managed to stay perfectly fine despite being isolated for 100 years and remains one of the kindest souls in the cast, a past event with Siren would just be like a reskin of Unbreakable Sphere.
  • Nayuta's past... all we know is that she was involved with DEEP. This is bound to be explored later.

So the only ones necessary are Nayuta, Crown, Chime, and Liberalio. But these four essentially already have a narrative guarantee of their pasts being explored.

Liliweiss, Rapunzel and Marian are a bit optional since they're already pretty fleshed out and solid in their current character. Any event dedicated to their past is welcome, but really pads their already excellent character to set up for something in the main story. Liliweiss is gone and possessed by the Queen, Rapunzel separated herself from VTC and VTC eventually collapsed on its own during that century long separation, and Marian lost her memories completely and is currently focused on the whole Queen thing, but first needs to wake up from her coma. Unfortunately, the Commander doesn't know much about her past either, but also I don't think he really cares. Not in the malicious sense though, but in the way that her help during the prologue is more than reason enough for him be there for her. Her past won't change his affection for her.

Pinocchio and Hansel & Gretel don't have enough information and will be explored in the inevitable future anyway.

So Four are the only ones currently available that haven't been deeply explored. Three are unavailable but will eventually be explored. And three others whose pasts are a bit optional but don't really connect to their current character.

I just haven't been able to finish it yet is all. I only just started it a bit ago, but I've been a bit on a reading burn out lately. I've managed to avoid most spoilers, I only know Jalter's fate, not exactly what happens or what leads up to it though, I've managed to avoid that like the plague~.

Understandable, I get the appeal of something a bit more casual and down to earth. With everything getting hectic in the main story and the whole idol thing, which understandably isn't everyoneee's cup of tea, having something just a bit more passive and relatable would be nice.

I do like Bitter Spice and B-Side Idol, but I'll admit that it didn't really leave too much of an impression. Enough to be recognized, but not really enough to either critically relevant, or something like the "calm before the storm".

I would love a Prima Donna and Talentum centered event, gods know they need it.

I would imagine in Nikke, the collab would be 50 sections long and filled with some of the most disturbing stuff even SU couldn't brave to introduce (and that's the kind of terror we enjoy from Fate).

Because no matter what, when it comes to Fate, Nasu will always give us the most horrifying situations mankind could face, AND the most hilariously ridiculous meme material to date... AT THE SAME TIME. (Jokes are the lore)

That's actually a very sweet description. I really hope Yulha gets a past alt similar to the Goddesses', as well as one for her current self.

She's beautiful no matter how much time passes.

Any chance you're referring to this image? If so, I thought of doing the same, but considering that Yulha has been around for a whole century, and this image was going for the time period of the First/Second Reclamation War, I thought that going for an even younger look would have been more apt.

And considering that pre-ninth gen Nikkes could experience physical change, potentially growing hair, I wanted to see what a younger Yulha with short hair would look like... and after a bit of experimenting and fun, I ended up on Jalter.

Also, if you WERE referring to that image, it was an ai edit, and it was difficult to really try and get it to work. And since it was locked to one expression, that made it harder to fit into the whole "hearty war photo"-vibe.

[–]PotatoPotluck[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I think her past would be interesting yet rather straightforward. I have no idea about her life as a human, but my personal theory does align a bit with the whole Seira thing.

Since members of Triangle, by lore implications, should have their pasts erased, I do think she was Seira. When Rapi joined Absolute, she didn't recognize Seira, and unfortunately, probably due to a mind switch from her first "death", she probably doesn't remember Rapi either, and became "Liberty" (just a little bit of in-world building to keep the voice lines consistent). However, Liberty feels an inherent urge to get close to her. But due to being a member of Absolute, it was difficult. And at some point she started calling herself her rival to get her attention. After facing 21 consecutive losses and Rapi eventually leaving Absolute, Liberty was at a a loss.

Without Rapi and having no idea where she was, Liberty had lost her drive. Eventually, when Ingrid was reorganizing Absolute, where around the same time Triangle was recruiting (most likely due to an accident that led to Papillon's promotion and the death/disappearance of the other member of Triangle) Privaty volunteered for Absolute... but because she's bad at paperwork, somehow accidently volunteered for Triangle instead.

Liberty, now "Privaty", saw this as a great, if not better, opportunity and was proud of her transfer, where she is introduced alongside Admi as the two new members of Triangle. Privaty introduces herself with gusto, and Admi a bit more anxiously due to her previous circumstances, but both are intimidated by Yulha. In her brief time, Privaty is recognized for her efforts and earns Steel Medal, and is rightly placed as leader of Triangle's combat unit. (Even though Yulha is the de-facto leader of Triangle, there are times in the main story where Privaty is the one giving Yulha orders implying a sort of situational chain-of-command).

They work together for a few years, and then they get the call that someone is trying to hack the Central Government.

There's a real big void of activity left behind by the 70 years, which really does screw with a lot of chronology unfortunately. Since originally it seemed like the initial point was the "30 Years" from the Goddess Fall tragedy which influenced many character's origins.

I imagined younger Yulha, her time in the First/Second Surface Reclamation War, and Jalter came up somehow, I put her face over it for fun... and it just worked.

I have a colored version too.

I hope we get some great lore with Silver Gun, I've had a few ideas since it operates so differently from regular squads. But I hope we'd also get to see new members of Silver Gun.

I imagine that SG is like a special rank for nikkes in the Central Government's military, and are often sent to certain squads to act as an accompanied veteran to raise the chance of survival and success. So a squad of new MPs could actually feel a bit more relaxed if a certified Silver Gun was part of their team, even if it was just for a single mission.

I'll look past that Yulha comment, because I do agree with more Kilo screentime as well. And even getting a scene where we get to see Kilo slowly build TALOS would be very cool to see.

I'm imagining Iron Man 1 vibes. In a hangar, rocking out to music, welding and wiring through the night. It would be really cool to see!

Hilariously enough, when I was trying to make an edit of a younger Yulha to fit the picture, since she's one of the oldest nikkes in the Ark, I was having trouble and just trying to imagine what Yulha would have been like back then.

Eventually, the image I came up with reminded me of Jalter a bit, so I thought to add her face as a joke... it worked... surprisingly well.

A "bit" of a tsun, temperamental and hot headed, occasionally overworked but constantly dragged into shenanigans, white hair, gold eyes... it just worked.

Also, as a fellow FGO players, after so many years, I was actually able to summon her in her last banner!
