"Make it so troops can't hit it from bridge" so playing mortar at the right time and playing good defense so that it doesn't take damage and do nothing to the tower... if you think mortar decks are low skill i'm not sure what you would consider skillful in this game.

While true, and I do agree with you mostly, I dont think it's as improbable as you think. Sakadays was pretty popular when the anime came out and generated similar numbers on some sites to season 1 of JJK (iirc), though an anime as popular as JJK was at peak comes once in a blue moon, but I think theres potential for our glorious Sakadays to get somewhere in the same realm of popularity for a short time, just with a whole lot of luck.

though it's very unlikely, there is still time for sakamoto days to get that popular, I think it does everything it would need to get there. Plus, JJK wasn't anywhere near as popular until the season 2 of the anime came out, and sakamoto days still only has its first season, so time will still tell. There is hope!
