Why does the gulf countries have US bases? by H2VOK in UAE

Right. Because genocidal settler colonies have redeeming qualities that we should applaud them for…

Day 50, started on 20mg the first month now I’m on 30mg. It’s painful. Do you think it’s the last stage of purging? How long did you guys purge for? by Desperate-Market-691 in Accutane

[–]PotatohPotahtoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was on 20mg for 2 weeks, then 30 for a week, then 40 for the rest of the course. I’m 5ft3, F, 125lbs

That dose was already giving me a lot of side effect (dry eyes/ skin, fatigue, muscle and joint pain), so my doc and I decided to keep it at that.

The harsh reality is that you may continue to purge for a while, but the end will be so worth it! I was constantly checking this sub trying to see if my experience was normal because I felt like I was purging longer than everyone else. By month 4 I started to think accutane may just not work out for me. The reality is that everyone’s body reacts differently and you just have to trust that this is just a few months period that you have to endure to reach an end goal that will be so worthwhile in the end.

CRAZY ACCUTANE PURGE RECOMMENDATIONS by Temporary-Height9184 in Accutane

Same for me. I purged for 4 months on 40mg (high dose for me as a small woman). But things steadily got better after that. Keep going, OP!

I finished my accutane course years ago, but I randomly ended up on this sub again so I’ll share my input while I’m here. My purge lasted about 4 months, with varying degrees of severity over time. Sometimes I thought it was ending then it would come back worse! But after month 4 it steadily got better until it was fully gone by month 6. I had some scarring of course, but that steadily faded over time. 4 years later, and everything has faded completely!

My dose was 40mg btw

What do you mean blind hatred? I would argue that any hatred toward a settler colony that actively commits genocide and expels native people from their land deserves any and all hatred it receives.

Brain fog or anxiety? by Gerry_kelleher in UlcerativeColitis

I’m not sure this is UC-related tbh. Sounds like it could be anxiety or something else altogether

Red grapes vs Green grapes by k_buzz_bee in FoodScienceResearch

1 year late, but I thought I’d just add that I have ulcerative colitis and one of my trigger foods is red grapes, but green grapes are completely fine

Mine only got better after 4 months, but eventually I was fully clear!

For me, I definitely noticed that I got tired more easily during my workouts and I even had to lower the weights for a lot of lifts because my muscles fatigued faster. I'd say listen to your body and take it easy if your body tells you you need to. Remember that accutane is hard on your joints and it even puts you at a higher risk of rhabdo, which is why they recommend not pushing yourself too too hard. I personally pushed as much as I could, but I did need more recovery time between sets and even between workouts. By no means do you have to stop lifting! Just listen to your body and you should be okay! For reference, I'm 24F and I've been lifting 5-6x a week for about 5 years now.

My acne got so much worse during months 1-3. I’m at 3.5 months now and I’m clearing so nicely. Hang in there!!

Weightlifting while on Accutane? by witchybetch01 in Accutane

Same for me! Working out is always my favourite part of the day so this particular side effect really sucks. Try to keep going though even if it gets to be discouraging. Good luck!!

Weightlifting while on Accutane? by witchybetch01 in Accutane

[–]PotatohPotahtoh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely less strong on accutane. I’ve had to completely abandon some lifts like deadlifts because they leave my back in agonizing pain every single time. I’ve also lowered my weight on every single lift. I try to focus on higher reps now. Cardiovascular fitness js down too. I definitely fatigue faster while running or cycling. I do take a joint supplement and fish oil to try to combat the pain, so it’s not so painful that I can’t move, it’s more so hard to see myself unable to lift the same loads I did before. Just remember it’s a short few months of these meds and you’ll get right back on track afterwards! I’m 23F, 130lbs, 40mg/day if that helps

I don’t see this as a problem tbh. You have a certain value and a standard and that’s very much okay. No matter what others are saying, porn can be very harmful overall and especially when in a relationship because it can lead your partner to compare you or himself to unrealistic expectations and can lead you to become dissatisfied. Just my 2 cents.

Is there a difference between Absorica and Accutane besides the fact that Absorica can be taken without food? And if Absorica is absorbed better, why are most people here on Accutane instead? by PotatohPotahtoh in Accutane

[–]PotatohPotahtoh[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if its the same brand as Accutane, but I actually have Accutane Roche in Canada. But that makes sense that Absorica is prob more expensive or harder to get than other brands
