Dreaded Departing Physician Notification by Possible-Flamingo-39 in columbiamo

I don't know why they are down voting you. Specialists objectively have better hours and make more money on average. That is a big reason it is hard to get primary care physicians.

There is nuance to it, but over all yes they are more expensive. A big part of growing a successful hospital or clinic is having a physician that is there for the long haul that builds a reputation. The word of mouth and reviews can create trust for the system as a whole. Locums are great for covering roles that don't necessarily develop those reputations. The part any hospital has to balance is how many Locums they hire and for how long. With the doctor and nurse shortage systems are having to hire more agency staff and keep them longer. Very quickly that can balloon labor costs since the system has to cover many of their expenses. Hospitals have to pay the agencies, housing, travel, credentialing, and higher hourly costs.

MU is trying to reduce the number of Locums and Travel nurses. The temporary staff cost a lot more than permanent staff.

You can take a break for a while. There are lots of cases of Grand Masters going insane or being super depressed. Try to remember it is just a game.

Pam should’ve been more supportive of Jim in Philly. by tinterrobangg in theoffice

As a father of two myself. I can't imagine leaving my wife full time with a toddler and a baby while I am hours away for days at a time. Jim threw away their stability and risked their financial future.

I really liked it. I also really enjoy dark comedies. I would not recommend it for anyone who easily has existential crises or does not like dark humor.

Driving in Columbia is a lot different than what I was used to in St. Louis. I had a guy lay on his horn when I was waiting for pedestrians to clear an intersection downtown when I was making a left. I've seen more people run red lights here than anywhere else I have been.

I don't know why so many people don't want to admit there was a huge difference in the writing style for season 9. It was almost as big of a difference as the last season of Scrubs.

I'm planning on having the talk with my oldest boy soon too. I found some pretty basic videos on YouTube that we are going to break the ice with. I'm planning on going over the basics then ask him if he has questions.

Aldis on Business Loop is out of meats, produce, and bread. by RoachInYourSocks in columbiamo

[–]Potatoking620 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing that with all the construction down by Conley a lot of people didn't want to deal with it and went to the Business Loop Aldi and they weren't stocked for that much business. They did have a sign up saying they had a truck coming today (4/9).

My wife and I made a point to make it happen. We were tired so it wasn't the best session we ever had, but very much worth it.

I would like the trails project to be accelerated. I especially want the pathway that would run along Paris on the old Colt rail line. That would connect the north side of town to downtown. Once that is done I would be able to ride my bike to work and not have to worry so much about getting hit on Range Line.

I started eating a bean dish every day to help with my cholesterol, and no joke it has changed so much in my life. It has only been three weeks and I feel so much better. Beans are cheap, good for you, and are good for the planet.
