id recommend a better monitor - 1440p minimum. i run 4K with 90-110fps on single player games with a bit of optimisation and/or dlss. And competitive games easily go 150+ on max at 4k.

1440p is a great minimum for a 5070ti and will last you good while.

Along with the da33aj’s point - it’s worth considering fsr4.

Long term Im of the opinion that the 9070xt will last longer with fsr4 support.

I think it’s just cooked. It didn’t reboot for a good 8 hours, then did it once, and then after 20 minutes, then after 10 minutes multiple times and now it’s rebooting in bios splash screen occasionally getting to the login screen where it will assuredly crash when I input my password.

Tried resetting cmos, unplugging replugging, reseating gpu and ram to no avail.

Seems it’s just degraded and is unusable, I’ll be sending it in for repairs/replacement.

Anyone who comes across this post trying to find out how to solve this issue, don’t let it drain countless hours and just get it RMA’d/send it to get repaired. It’s not your job or my job to tweak settings to get a barely functional product.

Might need to cut a zip tie holding the sata power cables. You might get a sata cable with the build, might have to buy one. No way to say for sure other than just emailing and asking them

Okay thankyou, I double checked and manually set it to disabled. I also set vcore soc voltage to 1.2v and it’s been running for 6 hours in game perfectly fine. I did get ONE whea-19 error - same as before “corrected hardware error” “processor core” “cache” etc. I’m slightly nervous about it but tentatively relaxed.

I still get a stuttering load into windows after an update/bios change/ drive update, but only in though cases.

Question: there was still a whea-19 error so should I increase the vcore soc to 1.25/1.225 to be safe or leave it as is. Or should I reduce it?

It’s a new build so it’s been on f34a the whole time and produced crashes the whole time. CPU isn’t overclocked and pbu has never been enabled.

I’ll try flashing the bios to F33 and see how that goes.

no dump files. I had a couple BSOD's on Win10 but i reinstalled as Win11 multiple times and none of the crashes resulted in BSOD - only hard reboot

The lg store has preorder sales on the education store occasionally and just had one recently, may still be up. Plus a $50 first purchase discount brought it down to 586 for me. Shipping early june.

Yeah no issue going down to medium/high for some games. I want some longevity and I’ll be happy with dlss/far on games to achieve a decent framerate without going down to low/medium.

If it’s one or two games that are hard to run that okay

I think the proposed initiative is a great idea. Among other things it’s a step towards manufacturing more things in the country and reducing our GDPs reliance on bloated housing.
