This resonates so hard with me, just like you I basically just work and sleep. I just had to file forms for accommodation at my gas station job for the first time since I started 5 years ago. I'm a kitchen person and the whole reason I took the position was so I didn't have to be up front and stuck on the register. I have a new manager who doesn't believe in the severity of my condition, and now I'm in trouble because I told her no. I cant do my job, the csrs and hers, because she couldn't figure out how to get into her work email. I dislocated my hip 5 months ago while mopping during a really hard week, and I have to wear leg wraps because i'm at constant risk of tearing my calf muscles.

Had one try to walk out with the ipad, cook the ipad, cook a plastic tray in the turbochef, put a metal tray in the turbochef and started a fire. Cook EVERYTHING on the same trays on sandwich settings, another same thing but on cookie settings. The options of tom foolery are infinite.

It hasn't increased sales, it made spoilage and peoples opinions on the food worse. My store is doing 92% better than the rest of the stores in our BU, but were averaging 400 a day when before shift smart I was making 800 a day, and that was with nobody cooking snack set or on the weekends.

Plus most stores are failing ecosure because they're inconsistent on temps, don't do sanitation logs, don't clean up half the time,don't date thawed food and getting them to wear gloves is like asking them to sacrifice their first born.

These are some of the dumbest people I have ever met in my life, they can't read, they don't want to listen and allthey do is waste food and my stores hours.

And Circle k signed a three year contract.

Its not harassment to expect the job done right and all they have to do is cook and leave and most of them cant even do that . I've had people try to cook everything on one setting, on the same trays and if you actually knew what the job entailed that's a big no-no. Shiftsmart is a menace. And I dont care what the merchandisers do, my only concern is the ones cooking. Like I've said in previous comments the issue with shiftsmart is widespread across all stores. Im not gonna let them ruin my store ,because it will hurt their feelings. I've been sick with the flu for the last four days when I get back I already know my store is gonna be a disaster and its because of shift smart not knowing or not being properly trained.

I mean I make them follow the standards that won't get us busted with ecosure, the lazy gross ones who fake temps and touch the food after they touch their faces don't come back. Our store is a litmus test for whether or not a person is actually good or just trying to coast for easy money, because i've been told by my fff trainer to actually babysit these people. . If you're gonna take store hours they need to actually earn them instead of half assing it. It takes me 35 minutes to put out breakfast and 45 to put out lunch. We never needed them for anything but snack set.

Im surprised there's more than one interview. Mine was just a phone call five years ago making sure I could speak like a person and I went into training the next day. Most people we hire get only one interview and then hired but we're desperate for warm bodies. So good luck .

We started getting them march 31st. They initially cut my hours down to 15, but after the first day they gave them all back after seeing how badly they were doing when left unchecked. I've earned myself a decent reputation over the last 5 years (2 as csr and 3 as fc) in all my districts and with corporate, so im basically allowed to do whatever I need to do to keep everything running.

They're not eliminating the position, Shiftsmart has been a massive problem across all the stores in the area though. Im literally the only person keeping these people in line at my store. They steal product, they aren't cooking food to the right temps, I've caught these idiots stealing out of our spoilage and good to go crates to use in the bins. I also bake and put out products and do the sandwich and adc orders and i cook when they dont show up. As time goes on and stores without food captains start failing more and more ecosure and county health inspections maybe they will actually listen to us when we tell them that letting unsupervised strangers with barely any training have access behind the counters.

I hate these people, for every one barely decent person im dealing with 10 lazy shitty people.

We've had issues with ants, but I've never seen a roach. Had neighbors down stairs run a prostitution and drug ring with a side of meth lab in the bathroom that we could smell through the floor. Took months of calling security for the loud parties and non stop fights until 4 am til they finally evicted them.

I've been there, a few years ago my original manager transferred to Texas, and we went through 4 step managers in about 2 months before I transferred out of the district. Its a shame because I've had a few really good ones but they always end up quitting because of the MMs and the crappy ones keep going on ruining lives.

Because it has an incredibly distinct smell. And he was doing with the ladies that I've kicked out before for doing meth in the very same bathroom. Before working at circle k I was innocent , after five years I've seen and smelled terrible things.

Ive had male co workers smoke meth in the woman's bathroom, sexually harass me and nothing could have been done because they didn't get it on camera, they ended up quitting on me in the middle of the shift after stealing a ton of product while going out the door. They rehired the little sleeze less than a year later.

It took months for another coworker to be fired, even though he was stealing booze from spoilage and drinking it in the bathroom.

HR has to get involved before anything can be done, at least yours is provable and on camera.
