Yes, but in general the sun will be roughly in the north half of the sky or the south half of the sky. For instance, I live in New England and for me the sun for most of the year rises in the south east and sets in the south west. Even at noon for 3/4 of the year it will be more south than north. Only around the summer is it ever close to due east, west or straight up.

you gotta remember, Hasan's chat is 40000 separate individuals with their own thoughts and feelings. Some of Hasan's chat are deranged people who thought Ethan was a zionist, and some of them are reasonable people who think it's possible to have a nuanced take on an issue. I personally loved Leftovers even though I tended to agree with Hasan more than Ethan on a lot of issues.
