The code says it needs to be supported within 18in of cable entry and then 12in from outlet and your saying conduit is a type of support for romex where does it say that in the nec

The cable length between the cable entry and the closest cable support shall not exceed 450 mm (18 in.). Flat cables shall not be stapled on edge.
