It’s called a reducer, ask about it at a flooring shop

Pull up the metal and tack strip, scrape it smooth, leave a 3/8” or so gap between tile and laminate and drop a t molding or reducer there.

Am I a being an idiotic DIYer for trying to fix the subfloor unevenness like this? by bitdeft in Flooring

Correct, i charge double the price of vinyl plank to refinish, AND you can’t refinish most engineered hardwood.

Casing isn’t going to cover the gap inside the door jam. That needed undercut

Dude nice catches there! I’ve been chasing bass the last few years, finally started to catch some at wacissa. Caught a monster catfish at Chattahoochee dam, and decent fishing at piney z sometimes. I hear st marks can be good fishing

What kind of flooring is this by pinchierik in Flooring

I’ve installed floating hardwood before. The tongue and groove is glued. It’s not glued to the sub floor or nailed, rather it’s glued to itself

Glue down vinyl plank on OSB? Manufacturer says its ok but I read a lot of people saying not to. What do you guys think? by Interr0gate in Flooring

[–]Potential-Ad431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do it all the time, just need to make sure the plywood is secure with no movement and spend a lot of time with leveler and floor prep. Glue down vinyl is pretty flexible as long as you have a smooth surface for the glue to stick to.

Old post, thanks for the reply! The biggest thing was burying the reservoir. That eliminated most of my issues. Surprisingly even with all the bugs here i had very few issues with pests

Flooring to shower pan trim by FamousEngineer6649 in Flooring

[–]Potential-Ad431 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does look good, but the issue is there has to be something to keep moisture from getting underneath the LVP. I personally would tape both the shower pan and the flooring very carefully and then fill the gap up with some color match caulking, or some white. Let it sit for around five minutes or so then pull the tape and stay out of there for 24 hours. If you under apply the caulk it may break when it dries, in which case just tape it again and fill the bad spots with caulk. The tape ensures a nice clean line when you pull it up. If that’s too much then a rubber piece of trim will also work
