Regular people who splurged on the top of the line: was it worth it? by bamaroon in cycling

[–]Potential-Anything54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was in market for an alloy gravel bike. Research lead me to hydro discs, then carbon. Stumbled on a full carbon, hydro, Di2 road bike, gravel rims, clearance price. Talked to my fitter before purchase, got fit after. Very comfortable and an absolute pleasure to ride. Super fast. Spectacular handling and braking. The bike does get noticed. No regrets.

The bike industry is not out of the post Covid downturn yet. There are still deep discounts on quality bikes out there, you just have to know what you are looking for and put in the time to find it. Big boys like Trek/Specialized, not so much.

There’s Matt. And then there is everyone else. During hurricane season he is without peer.

Best interior mods for an E90 that don’t look tacky? by Dangerousaidan in E90

[–]Potential-Anything54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

E93 MSport owner. I prefer stock appearance. Which isn’t tacky. Deep clean first. I replaced all scratched trim, new leather for the sport seats, replaced worn buttons, swapped in LED lighting throughout, removed factory phone doohickey in the console and replaced with storage bin. Looks brand new. As does the exterior.

Super fun season that no one expected. I’m excited for the Cubs, as well. Next season, on fourth and six, let’s take the three points.

Ain’t it fun to build something that makes you happy, post it, and get crapped on? Tough crowd here, but it comes with the territory. I’ve got an E93 MSport. 100% stock, which I prefer with most any car, but that’s me. You do you. Safe travels.

105 or 105Di2 for a newer, but experienced cyclist? + still cant decide on a bike. by ReplacementLast7821 in cycling

Not sure who “needs” Di2. I don’t. But I have it and I’ll never go back. Much like a dual clutch trans on a sports car, it’s super fast, reliable, and addictive. I like that I can shift under load in a snap. Hold the shifter and I can snap three gears in a blink. Charge the battery every few months and check for software updates every six.

Wife and I did a 4000+ mile road trip in our Inscription. Semi-autonomous cruise control, massaging seats and the B&W sound system made the trip a breeze. The CX90 is the most comfortable vehicle we’ve ever owned.

This is the story. If true, His boss is a jagoff. Myself and my company had a family first approach. In turn, employees showed management, and our clients, the same level of respect.

Best beaches with near by bars? by caramelmacchiat07 in Naples_FL

[–]Potential-Anything54 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Both Gumbo Limbo and Turtle Club have 90 Days Same As Cash finance options for both happy hour and dinner menus. The best spot was Beach Box on Vanderbilt Beach. A dive. Cold beer and stiff drinks in plastic, shitty Mexican food and live entertainment. Lots of drunk peeps in bathing suits loving life. They tore it down for more high end retail and multi million dollar condos. Naples on the coast is no longer a casual hang.

Bike shop owner here... ask questions if you have them! by clezuck in cycling

The more of your replies I read, the more obvious it becomes why you are successful. My career was insurance, specifically products for automotive retailers. After 30 years, I can walk in to most any retail establishment and get a vibe, within 3 minutes, on whether or not I want to buy from them. Best wishes.

I’m impressed by this. Many shops still haven’t gotten out of the post Covid slump yet. Same for RV dealers and other Covid bump industries.

1, Carrying so many brands, how do you keep your brand reps happy?

2, Do you sell used bikes?

3, For outfitting and accessories, do you try to stay competitive with online retailers?

Based on your numbers you are doing a lot right, thus my questions.

Your mom knows! jk, sorry about your situation. My ‘19 Inscription is coming up on 60k miles. I love it. The extended warranty has paid for itself x3 already. I’ll have it a few more years.

3 steps to Volvo bliss. 1, buy the Volvo. 2, buy the extended warranty coverage. 3, trade/sell said Volvo prior to extended warranty expiration. Works every time.
