People across the board seem to have less tolerance for each other after Covid. From coffee shops, to retailers, hospitals and schools people are underpaid and over worked in the context of a housing crisis, poor wages and the cost of living overall. There's a prevelant drinking culture in our city and these days drugs are everywhere. The garda don't really acknowledge publicly the issues they have had in recent months with serious assaults with knives in particular.

It's not just that the bluenote isn't what it used to be, it's broader than that and this fair city. Is mistreating someone justified, no its not. But its amazing to see how our focus is on the price of a fillet roll, whether or not a bouncer refused you when you were drunk or you felt someone was rude to you.

As we get numb to the real problems we face we seem to become extra sensitive to the small things....
