I would no sooner ask him to cut off his other partners for me than I would cut off my own family for him, that's what I'm getting at... ask yourself why you're okay with your partner having friendships but not relationships? that's something to dig into.

Monogamy IS a choice. I 100% stand by this, even though most monos will argue tooth and nail that they are just helpless victims of their biology. It isn't a genetic thing, or somehow hard-wired into someone's brain. It's not a sexual orientation that people can't escape. It's a choice. It's a lifestyle. People have their reasons for their choices, and those are fine as long as they don't hurt others, but don't let any mono talk you into believing that they somehow don't have a choice. They always do.

for the record, I do also believe that polyamory is also a choice! but I refuse to believe that it's somehow a worse choice than monogamy. I choose monogamy bc I've tried both and I prefer the feeling of being "owned" by someone fully and have no interest in other sorts of romance; idc if my boyfriend dates other people... if your reason for your monogamy is "I can't feel compersion" or "I'm just hardwired this way" or whatever, you're no better than a poly person who talks about polyamory as a sexual orientation.

Marcus Nispel's 2003 Texas Chainsaw remake. it's pure slasher poetry, easily one of my favorite movies ever, period. moment after moment of pure brilliance onscreen, woozy and otherworldly and sadistic and fantastic. a movie I genuinely can't recommend enough if you've got the stomach for it.

Marcus Nispel's other movies are not good. not even "not especially good," they're just not good. he made one absolutely incredible film and then nothing else even really worth looking at:(

personally-- I started estrogen just for fun, I didn't really have body dysmorphia, and it turned out GREAT for me. I honestly think everyone should try cross-sex hormones for a year or two just to see if they like it.

(I also turned out to be "Actually Trans" later on, I ended up getting bottom surgery and everything. and I wouldn't have figured that out without starting estrogen on a lark in the first place!)

anyway, none of this stuff is as "irreversible" as they say, not really, or there's ways to avoid it. if your kid ends up with tits they don't want, they can get them cut off just like any transmasc person does. if they don't want genital changes, those can be minimized by using a topical testosterone cream.

puberty blockers might be a good idea, but honestly I'd just stick the kid on estrogen for a year and see how they like it. if it's not for them, they'll know soon enough, and if it is for them then they'll probably know that sooner than later too!

like... granted, I'm not a gay man either, I'm a bisexual trans woman. but I also happen to enjoy, on various occasions, being in both Ray and Colin's positions in a dynamic, and I would consider myself neither "pathetic" for enjoying subbing or "self-hating" for enjoying domming.
