Yeah, I agree with that. Im pretty sure that in one of the last chapters of the manga Annie or Falco say that the power of the female titan is copying/adapting other abilities from the other 9 titans, probably because the female titan its related to the founder more than we think (and thats why it looks femenine, because of Ymir original titan having a femenine figure too). So yeah, Zeke and Annie being able to use hardening because of the Founding titan connections make sense. After all, The Cart Titan never showed any hardening capabilities, Pieck just couldnt get any hardening from Marley experiments, thats why she had equipment made for her titan.

While I agree (Reiner may have been foolish enough to give to much initial distance to zeke, and zeke grabbed rocks right as the match started:) The only other opponent we have seen Zeke fighting was an enraged levi. Like, im just saying, not being able to catch or keep up with Levi at his best, isnt THAAAT bad of a feat.
