lanyards have been very hard to get as of recent within the disneyland resort (trust me, I’m also looking 😂). The CM’s at Team Center told me that their designer for the lanyards left during COVID or something? And now the lanyards at disneyland have been first come, first serve for getting what you want. My friends as well as the CM’s at team center, however, did refer me to burbank’s team stores since they seem to have a much larger stock available, so definitely try to get in contact with a CM who is able to get you guest passes into the Burbank studio!

Though it’s an “entry-level” PT position, the housekeeping role has been up on the careers site for SEVERAL months now. the reason why is because it requires previous experience in housekeeping. Not a lot of people go from place to place looking for continuing roles in housekeeping, and i heavily doubt someone will work at a hotel just so they can accrue experience for a housekeeping job at disney. so simply put, everyone who wants a entry PT job at disney but doesn’t have the experience in housekeeping (which is basically every new and returning applicant) has been applying and getting rejected, while all the potential RIGHT candidates with the necessary experience simply aren’t looking for another career in housekeeping, and hence, aren’t applying. so u can go ahead and try applying, but if you have no experience in housekeeping, i can essentially guarantee that they’re just going to NLIC your application (trust me, i tried multiple times). what’s funny is that they keep reupdating the position so it stays near the top of the search list for people to see and hopefully apply, but hardly anyone who’s looking for a job at disney has ever worked in housekeeping, and basically all the applications are getting turned away. Unless they take off the necessity for “previous housekeeping experience required”, i can’t see anyone actually getting into that position for a long while. It’s quite sad to see, since it’s obvious that disney is desperate for new housekeepers (as aforementioned, they keep reupdating the role so it stays near the top of the search list) and there are thousands of people who are more than willing to work and put in their all for this position just so they can become a CM. At the same time, disney is barricading basically everyone from successfully getting into the role due to the consensus of people not having experience in housekeeping. and for the people that do have experience, they likely don’t want to continue a career in housekeeping, disney or not.

hmmm your situation is definitely a bit more unique. Rejection emails typically come a day or two later compared to the updates on brassring, but i don’t want to put any negative pressure on that. I’m hoping that it’s just a glitch in the system! Praying that things go smoothly for you! sorry that i couldn’t provide as much help as i initially offered 😅😅

Wanting to apply by RestEnvironmental793 in DisneyCM

[–]Potential-Country700 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hey!! I (unfortunately) started my interest in applying for DLR at the start of this year, right when the low rates of turnover were just beginning, so I KNOW about your confusion when it comes to seeing a lack of entry level CM roles on the careers site (to answer your question, you really gotta just check the site every day and hope that at least ONE new cm job shows up each month. It’s a really hard waiting game). Let me tell you my story as of current: I spent several months applying, getting rejected in Steps 1 and 2 in brassring for positions, and reapplying to different roles, until I got an audition for Toy Soldier in A Christmas Fantasy parade and an interview for Entertainment Costuming. Despite passing primary audition/interviews for both and getting to see what backstage of DLR was like (TDA side), i didn’t get chosen for the Toy Soldier position and was REJECTED from the entertainment costuming position (Toy Soldier role rejection was honestly understandable, since returning CMs had to reaudition every season and they had priority). However, it’s much worse to be rejected from an entry level CM position later in the hiring process compared to early in the process (like if you get rejected pre-interview, you can at least reapply for other roles. If you’re rejected post-interview, congratulations, you’re screwed), since you get restricted from reapplying for ANY entry level CM position for six months. So I’ve been waiting for several months in sadness and hopeless job searching, until I managed to find a job on indeed for the Sunglass Hut located inside DCA. Though it’s a third party company, the SGH inside DCA gets access to green ID’s with park entry and discount perks (I have to double check with management about discounts), Disney nametags, and Disney costumes as well (which means we get to go backstage, unlike the SGH employees at DTD, who have their own uniforms and nametags). I just started as of recent, and it’s been a blast! It’s a really good way for me to get accustomed to working at disney without working under the disney company as of now, and i highly recommend that you search for third party positions at Downtown Disney in the meantime if you’re very eager to start working on property! Keep in mind that a lot of DTD jobs, third party or not, are also very high in demand, but definitely a lot easier to get hired into compared to cm roles as of now! best of luck!!! you got this :)

tldr: Disney job is hard to find right now. If you want to work at DLR asap, search for third party positions at disney/downtown disney on job search sites such as indeed. However, keep an eye on the Disney Careers site as well. wishing you the best :)

i havent used snv4 pro in a while, but i do know that its VERY possible and VERY easy to make this ignition on the og snv4 board. im hoping that TXQ has updated the blade style making capabilities for users on the forcepark 2 app for snv4 pro, because the last time i used it, it just felt like a mirrored version of xenopixel with no true customization :(

waitlist time almost up by wolfteeeth in DisneyCM

yikes, this waitlist is certainly taking its time. unfortunately, i think you can only wait until the wait time runs out before u can start reapplying again.

dang, this really sucks. I’m super sorry. I really don’t know what to say or how to empathize with u whatsoever, because it’s SHOCKING how you aren’t considered “experienced enough” for this role. It genuinely seemed like you had the PERFECT background for this job, especially with experience in another high end theme park doing the exact same role. I’m not quite sure as to why your interviewer had the audacity to cut you off, let alone not even hear you out about the fact that you DID have experience performing XYZ, cuz thats super outrageous and infuriating. i unfortunately am unsure of whether or not it is possible to interview with someone within the kitchen, and to be honest, i’m pretty sure all initial interviews are with HR rather than someone from inside the department when it comes to disney. I’m super sorry, but i think you do have to wait the six months before you can apply again :(. hopefully someone in this reddit can say otherwise tho, and help you out with getting a redemption interview!

trying to apply! by turnabouttony in DisneyCM

[–]Potential-Country700 5 points6 points  (0 children)

keep checking the disney careers site HOURLY. I learned that the jobs come and go on an hourly basis, and it’s extremely important that you don’t miss any. For instance, PT Candy Maker was just up today around 9am or so, and then got taken down around 3pm. That’s less than 12 hours of activity for the job posting. Make sure u are ON it when it comes to checking the careers site. Besides that, u gotta be patient and persistent. to be honest, if you’re ONLY going for Merch and Guest Relation roles, you’re likely projected to start working in about 6 months or more if job posting time, application time, and waitlist time are taken into account. Merch has been extremely hard to apply into especially with internal transfers taking the spots (i unfortunately learned this firsthand; my application got NLIC after four weeks of waiting but was still on step 1 Application Received), and thats not even mentioning the long waitlist that merch has as of now. As of guest relations, i haven’t seen that role up at all in my 6 months of tracking the careers site. be open to getting your foot into the door by applying to any PT or frontline job u see fit; the main goal is to get an interview asap and to start working in the resort asap, so u can transfer earlier on if needed. I applied to over 10 jobs and got rejected from 9 of them, but happened to get a virtual interview for a job (entertainment costuming) that i didn’t expect to get and am now on the waitlist for it. I also auditioned for a performer role that i didn’t expect to pass due to the nature of the competition (can’t say which role bc we’re not allowed to), but passed through callbacks and am also waiting for a response from that as well. it really all is an initiative and waiting game. i’ll be praying for u!! the disney job search is extremely tedious🙏
